Valve Preparing Biggest Team Fortress 2 Update Ever

Additionally, Valve has announced two class packs coming to the Über Update for the Spy and the Heavy that'll include the ability for the Spy to drop flowers on his dead opponents. Valve also gave us a shot of a new map called Barnblitz, the barn capital of the world. It's like a barn playground.

Bit misguiding there Tom, The Made Man is just a misc slot for spy, not actually a ability for spy to put flowers on people he killed.

OT: Looking forward to this one, they said Engie/Mann Co Update was their biggest...so this is going to be big xD

They showed us the spy/heavy pack...now show me a soldier/demo/sniper pack...no particular reason..xD

I instantly thought new map, and since that's confirmed I have no idea what's more. It's probably gonna be something like a new game mode or something. It would also be fun if it would update the 360 version.

Theory: TF2 is going free 2 play.

Evidence: This would be a huge update, the ManCo store already exists, the game is already several years old so new copies sold is less and less likely, Valve recently said they are developing a f2p game or games, and Steam now has f2p functionality.

Oh, and TF2 has been used as a testing ground for Valve's wacky new ideas for a long time now, so if they were going to experiment, this would be the game to do it with.

Because dropping a free 2 play DotA 2 on us without at least trying out the concept in a safer environment is a tad risky.

Could happen, but seems very short notice for Valve given how recently they let in F2P for Steam. I don't have TF2, and it going free would definitely stop that problem, but I'm still not sure if I like it.

The US population in the TF2 group plays on the UK server aswell though so never been "urgent" to update nor have there been much traffic on it, since the escapist tournament I believe xd

tis a good possibility sir, the game itself is rather old(by game standers, but that doesn't mean it still isn't fun, hell i still play it and i got it way back in the day) so they may not be selling as many as they used too (athloe i don't know whether that's just the game itself(download or hard copy)or the orange box bundle) and they do derive a lot of there tf2 revenue from the Manco store so it is indeed a good possibility that there setting up something similar to spiral knights.

I wouldn't complain if it was Meet The Pyro..though it's been said they won't make Meet The Pyro, I think they made a statement about that a while ago.

Best way to troll though, would be if when the update was released on Thursday..it was only a 30sec trailer for Meet The Medic xD

And I'm on a 1mb connection(actually 90kb/s or so), so you might be fine. Or better than me at least...
