Shame there has been exactly zero news about it in over a year.

It's pretty much safe to assume the mod is dead, but hey a Valve-made remake would be welcomed.

As already mentioned by many, but ill say it again, EPISODE 3????!?!?!?/? Seriously, Valve are going the same way that Blizzard did after they pulled WoW out of the bag and realized they technically didnt need to bother with any of their other projects because of the ridiculous cash cow they had made. Now Valve has Steam raking in the money they seem to be of the opinion they can just sit around doing nothing all day. Poor form, very poor form.

I think it's more that they've been doing a lot of different projects. I think they also decided to expand episode 3 into a more full-length game.

Them not making the next part of Half-Life at this point is just their own short-sightedness and idiocy. Im not even one of the people who is dying for it, but everytime I see it, i cant help but thing why it is not out yet, or atleast being made. Only way they could redeem themselves badly would be it it was a bad prank and they did not want to announce it until the day before it is sold.

Clearly they were ASKED this question and said it would be fun, but they're not going to do it. Which is a perfectly acceptable answer. So stop calling them idiots because you're just making a fool of yourself.

This is not news anyway. I'm sure any developer would say it'd be fun to remake their old games.

Don't forget pushing big buttons and pulling Frankenstein sized levers. If I had a nickel for every time you had to pull one of those levers in Half Life then I would be a rich man.

OT: Honestly I would prefer a Left 4 Dead were I was able to customize my character and play with my friends with that character.
