I'd love to be a sarcastic character, but I can also sound like a British News Anchor, a manlier Michael Cera voice, and a raw, bad ass sounding voice.

But yeah, I'd love to voice act, especially if I got to ad-lib the dialogue...

I'd love to voice act, but I think I'd be terrible at it. I mean, I can put on a couple of voices but you can tell they're still me. Since most VA's play many parts and are expected to give each one a slight twist and sound different, I can't imagine I'd have a very good career

I dabble in voice acting mostly because I can accurately portray many different styles of character, dialect, or whatever else the animation calls for. I'm also the only one on our video crew who has a proficiency in Audacity/Soundbooth so I really end up doing ALL our sound editing anyway.

Yeah, I think it would be pretty cool to lend my voice to a game or animation, but not an ad.

My problem is I don't know if I would get into the games industry. But I am aware that stuff like that happens and would love it to happen to me. Heck if I had a better laptop I would start making let's plays for practice.

Now that's something I've got a good voice for. Utterly deadpan. Excuse me while I steal that idea.

Then take the idea and run with it.

I've never thought about it to be honest. It'd be okay, though I think it'd be harder than people seem to think. After all, there are a lot of bad voice actors out there. If I were one, I'd want to deliver a performance that people liked.

I'm actually aiming to be one. I'm doing a degree in drama & theatre atm. Once I have it I'm working for a few years and then moving to the USA (I'm English and hate it here). After that I'm gonna be a teacher whilst working at being a voice actor for cartoons or, preferably, videogames. It's always been something I've wanted to do and games these days have so many characters that there's probably quite a high demand for them

I've very much wanted to crack a shot at Voice Acting; i have the passion for it. But i was unfortunately strongly dissuaded from doing so as i was told it was an incredibly unreliable and under-paid career. So, if i wanted to live somewhere other than a hovel, avoid loansharks, and play games... i'd need to find a more stable career.

Ironically enough i'm now aiming to become an accomplished writer. Small wonder, eh?

It was my childhood dream to become a voice actor but I gave up on that. Still, I'm told I have a remarkable skill for faking accents and have a pretty versatile voice.

Since I don't actually have an accent, and slip in and out of a multitude of voices at will, I'd be pretty suited to voice acting, but I actually prefer being on the stage/screen. That, however, has the drawback that I can't play a black guy, since I'm about as white as you get, but can pass for a big black guy (among many other things) when you're not looking at me.

I've done some amateur voice acting, for a few videos (I've made, but still).

I'm always doing impressions for my friends too.

I can also actually make my voice flange, meaning I can basically make myself speak in 2 voices, it's pretty awesome!

Awh, I can only do that when I yawn. Though it's usually sufficient to freak people out.
I'd like to know if it can't be learnt for regular speaking though. Can it?

I've been told that I have a pretty good voice and would do well on the radio or voice acting...I don't know, never really gone in that direction but hmmm that does bring some inspiration...maybe I could start with a local paper podcast or something
