Curse like a drunken sailor if I get hurt. Like once in class when I burned myself I yelled:

Unfortunately, my teacher heard everything and wasn't very happy.
Finnish? I only understood one of those curses...
Shows how well my attempt to learn Finnish is going...

OT: Well, it seems I agree with most other people. When something gentle happens that I'm not excepting and there are other people around, I'll say "Ow." with a very monotonous voice. However when I do actually get hurt, I generally sit there in silence. Or yell profanities. The latter is not good to do in public.

Also, I'll say "Ouch" when I bump into stuff or I think I should of gotten hurt. This happens many times at my lunch table, where I often bump my knee against the metal rods. At most it'll hurt a little, but I automatically say "Ouch."
Then when I really do hurt myself (say, bumped my toe or flipped a four-wheeler on me) I'll either won't make any noise or I'll laugh.
I do the EXACT same thing. Leads to people thinking I have like no threshold for pain which is actually quite the opposite.

Sometimes when people suddenly appear and say something casual like "Hi" I instantly look right at them and shout "HI!" in a really high pitched voice. It'd bloody weird, it's like an isntant response.

I say the swedish equivalent to "Bless you" whenever I cough, which has started to annoy one of my friends quite a lot.

A couple of times I've done this when I've dropped something, and it didn't even touch me. :(

Odd. I say the German version every time I cough or someone else does. Then they'll always turn to me and say "Your not supposed to say that!"
"Hey, I think I should know when to use that word, danke shone." says I, the German.

I tend to respond to knocking against thing by saying "ouch" (it's due to surprise rather then pain), and I have a tendancy to appologise to inanimate objects if I bump into them.

Same with the "Ouch" thing. I'll make some noise indicating pain when I'm not actually hurt.

I also don't express much emotion when its called for like when I'm scared, I don't do anything, I usually either can't do anything or I just sit there. Or when someone dies. This may sound heartless but I've had 3 family members die (Great Grandmother, Uncle, Grandfather) and I was almost completely devoid of all emotion.

I don't know why.

I say "ouch" when I bump things into other things. Like if I would roll a rolly bag up against a wall I would say ouch. I got it from my dad.

I say it mostly due to the lack of a more appropriate word or phrase. I did it more as a joke at first, but it just got stuck and now I just can't stop.
Oh well, at least it works as a fun topic to tak about whenever you're utterly bored, right?

This ***** ripped out a handfull of hair from my head, and kneed me. I COULD not stop laughing, I even cried I laughed so hard. I usually go into a blind fury when I'm angry, I only see a film of grey when I attack somebody. Is that normal?

I never say ouch to when I'm in pretty bad pain. I once had a compact fracture on my arm, and all I did was look at it and ask for help to a bystander. Or when I fell up the stairs and cracked my forehead pretty bad, I asked for help to the nurse and laughed the entire way like a maniac.

Finnish indeed. I'm going to learn Finnish as soon as I'm done with learning German.

I already know some Finnish though.

I'm not sure what is normal anymore. It seems like most of the posters on this thread laugh when severely hurt. Perhaps it's the body's way of releasing endorphins to help deal with the pain?

And going berserk when angry isn't all the uncommon. What I don't understand is why I get so emotional. When ever I get angry, even simple frustration, I'll start to tear up and start to cry. Not the best thing to do when you emotion wants to make someone scared of you...

Snippetty.

Wanna send me the translation to that? Plus, if possible, pronunciations?
I basically know four words. Two curses, Sorry and Thank you. It almost covers an entire conversation with a stranger.
I'm derailing the thread. Never mind this post, the rest of you! Move on and keep on topic! (I already posted my one answer... Sorry Ramthundar.)

I do this exact same thing. I can't help it.

Other then that, I don't think I can think of anything at the moment.

I dunno whats wrong with me when I get hurt, It takes like 5 seconds for it to sink in or somthing, I just sit there blankly, and then it kicks in and I say nothing, just a bit of an eye twitch. Then go see to getting rid of it. ...I mean like its a friggin annoyance, not somthing potentially damaging.

I mean I did this when a peice of GLASS went clean through my foot, Im not talking about bumping into somthing here, I mean reeaaally painful things.

I must have a high pain tolerance, but I'm not in a hurry to test the theory... I've been fairly lucky apart from the thing I just listed on physical injury. Friends just think Im weird that way when they scream bloody murder over 100 different things in a high pitched squeal... I just hate yelling... in any form.

Same as the OP and everyone else here apparently. I reflexively say ow if something touches me unexpectedly.

I'm surprised by the number of people who do this as well.
