Also, I'll say "Ouch" when I bump into stuff or I think I should of gotten hurt. This happens many times at my lunch table, where I often bump my knee against the metal rods. At most it'll hurt a little, but I automatically say "Ouch."
Then when I really do hurt myself (say, bumped my toe or flipped a four-wheeler on me) I'll either won't make any noise or I'll laugh.
I do the same thing, and it seems like alot of other people do too. Good to know.

I also don't express sad emotion at all really. I never cry, even when a family member dies. People think I'm heartless but I just don't cry.

I basically know four words. Two curses, Sorry and Thank you. It almost covers an entire conversation with a stranger.
I'm derailing the thread. Never mind this post, the rest of you! Move on and keep on topic! (I already posted my one answer... Sorry Ramthundar.)
Actually it's pretty hard to translate Finnish curses into English :) They all sound really dumb if you even try.

OT:
If I get hurt I usually don't say anything or if it REALLY hurts I may shout the lovely little, "Ai perkele!!"

But the funny thing is I almost never react the way I'm supposed to. I always laugh at the wrong points, like the other day someone was telling me about something really sad and I just lol'd. Then I thought, "This is not quite right" and put on a sad, sympathetic face.

And when someone tries to get me into a row or try to insult me, I just laugh at their face. That pisses people off pretty badly.

I say Ow even when I don't hurt myself, like when I get hurt in a game, or just drop something on my hand...

Oh darn. Then the "translations" I know for the curses I know are probably wrong then aren't they? But they are at least curses? Perkele and Paska? They don't mean shit and goddammit, do they... This why you never trust the internets, folks...

OT: I thought of another one! I'm not completely derailing your thread, Ramthundar! A lot of the time people cry when they are expected to cry, yet I do not cry most of the time. Such as when two of my grandparents died, I didn't cry. (That could possibly be due to the fact that I was little and didn't know what it meant. But still.)

Hmm, I don't like to use the word paska too much actually. XD It's so vulgar. *pish posh* But yeah, they're curses. Paska does mean shit and perkele is.. well, on TV these guys translated it as "The Godfather of Satan" or something like that. It doesn't really mean goddammit since that is a little too lame an expression. Here you go [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Perkele] I hope this helps you a little :D

I yell curse words anytime I'm hurt, no matter where I am. It's almost a hobby of mine.

same, also whenever someone experiences something painful (physical or emotional) i just say: "ouch", in an empty kind of way, it's involentary and i do it whenever they experience anything even vaugly painful

Oh, well, I didn't think paska was so vulgar, seeing how vulgar shit means in English (think not very). And that's what I first heard perkele meant, but someone else told me it was goddammit... I think it originated in the Finnish Paganism... But you're the Finnish one, you tell me.

(Once again Ramthundar, sorry. I'll try to make this my last reply in my thread if I have nothing more to say on-topic.)

I have a lopsided Fight/Flight reflex, so when I'm startled I get literal berserker rage. And when I'm hurt I usually belt out obscenities, but that doesn't strike me as all that odd of a reaction.

Also, I know a guy who will shout out 'Ouch' if he thinks he's about to get hurt. This is quite hilarious when you startle him and he starts screaming in pain for no reason.

ya i laugh when i get hurt badly, not broken bones, but i was skating and i was going down a steep hill and it had recently gotten patched and it was rough. So I hit a bump and I fly off my board I was doing flips rolling all the way down a 75ft hill once at the bottom after i saw my knees and elbows scraped up really bad bleeding nicely I laughed.

I'm not an emotional person when it comes to things that happen in my own life, or even really the lives of my friends and family, not because I don't care but because I just tend to handle things by intellectualising, but it's weird because if something happens in a book or in a movie, I'll just completely lose my shit and start bawling. oO I think I feel vicariously through fictional characters. Kinda weird.

I tend to cringe in disgust whenever anyone tries to show me their babies.

People's reactions to my response to a woman threatening me with violence (which tends to involve my "why so serious?" smile and a comment like "I love it when the girls play rough") tend to be quite amusing.

Curse like a drunken sailor if I get hurt. Like once in class when I burned myself I yelled:

"VOI VITTU SATANA HELEVETTI PERKELE SATANA HELEVETTI VITTUN HELEVETTI SAAAAAAATANA!"

Unfortunately, my teacher heard everything and wasn't very happy.
Snippetty.
Finnish indeed. I'm going to learn Finnish as soon as I'm done with learning German.

I already know some Finnish though.

Well, vittu translates directly to vagina/pussy, but it's used like fuck is used in English. Like "Ah, fuck!" would be "Voi vittu!".

Or something along that line... Not really in the mood for translating the others right now, I'm freaking starving.

EDIT: I just realised that I might as well have PMed' you this... Damn it, I BLAME THE HUNGER!
