This disappointed disappeared quickly when Vera draw her sword and had electricity arc around it, however. At first, the act of the sword being drawn, as well of the loud crackling noises the electricity made seemed to frighten Selim to a extend, but this too lasted only a short while, before his expression returned to that of amazement. [color=915f6d]"That was awesome! I can't wait to tell my mon and dad about it! How did you do that?!"[/color] Selim exclaimed after Vera finished demonstrating.

[color=915f6d]"And your eyes? Well, because they have small question marks in them and are all glowy, which looks really cool!"[/color] Selim explained happily. Registering Vera seemingly being uncomfortable with him being so close, he took a step back, but continued looking to her eyes after looking up from the sword demonstration. [color=915f6d]"Can you make more shapes in your eyes? And can you see in the dark because they're glowy?"[/color]

Vera looked to Rex and crossed her arms, pouting a small bit. [color=00aa44] "More intricate speech algorithms are no reason to be mean." [/color] The android said in a slightly less robotic voice.

Looking back down to Selim, Vera tilted her head and the irises in her eyes, changed to various shapes and colors, even to a video feed of what she was seeing before going back to normal. [color=00aa44] "Acknowledged. And unit does not have the permissions to reveal more about its capabilities. These will only be seen if this unit needs to use them in battle." [/color] She tilted her head a bit at Selim. [color=00aa44] "Unit activated its magic circuit. That is all." [/color]

"Sorry. Didn't mean to offend you. What was your name again?" Rex asked with a bit of a smirk.

When Vera demonstrated the various things her eyes could display, Selim squeed lightly. [color=915f6d]"You can't show me?"[/color] He asked, calming down when Vera mention not being authorised to reveal more, looking disappointed at this. [color=915f6d]"You can't show more? Oh... That's a shame. And battle? You have a sword... so are you like some sort of fencer, then? And what's a magic curcuit? Or can't you tell that either?"[/color] Selim asked, now more calmly, having stopped his usual rappid question bombardment.

Vera shook her head lightly. [color=00aa44] "Unit is not a fencer type. A warrior type would be a more suitable description. As for a magic circuit, unit is sorry to inform subject that that information is also off limits." [/color]

Looking over to Rex, Vera idly rubbed the side of her head. [color=00aa44] "Unit's public identification tag is 'Vera Inoue'. Inquiring PIDtag of subject." [/color]

"Sergent Rex Power Colt." Rex said to Vera. "Are you some kind of cyborg with AI, or do you have an actual human brain?" he asked.

[color=915f6d]"Warrior...?"[/color] Selim questioned, begining to look more excited again. [color=915f6d]"So... So do travel around on a horse and go to fight monters with your lightning sword?"[/color] Selim asked asked, tilting his head slightly. When Vera stated her name, however, Selim seemed to grow more confused. [color=915f6d]"Your name is Vera..? I don't get it... Why do you keep calling yourself Unit, then? That doesn't make much sense."[/color]

Looking to Rex, Vera paused, her irises lighting up to show small pixelated hourglasses. They continued to be animated for a good period of time before Vera's eyes finally went back to their blank state and she shook her head. [color=00aa44] "After a second check, unit has determined that it does not have permission to disclose that information. Subject's PIDtag has been acknowledged." [/color]

Now turning to Selim, the android blinked once and shook her head. [color=00aa44] "Unit does not refer to itself by its PIDtag, as its protocol dictates. The PIDtag's use is also classified information." [/color] After letting the image of itself riding a horse into battle sink in, the android giggled a small bit, sounding almost like a human girl should. [color=00aa44] "Unit does not have quadraped-riding protocols. However, unit is willing to acquire these protocols if one were to be willing to implement them. As a human would say, the unit would find this.... 'fun'." [/color]

"Why not? And says who?" Rex asked Vera. After hearing what she said to Selim, Rex tilted his head a bit. "So you aren't human. Or you just don't call yourself one."

 

[Chungus]

Listening to Vera's explaination, Selim looked up to her with a blank expression, her explaination seemingly going straight over his head. [color=915f6d]"Iiii... Don't get it."[/color] He responded, scratching his righ cheeck with an index finger. [color=915f6d]"Your name is Vera, appearantly, but you call yourself Unit? And I guess PIDtag means name... but if your name's a secret, why did you just say what it is?"[/color] He questioned, speaking somewhat slowly as he thought while spekaing.

At Vera mentioning her willingness to try out horse riding, Selim hummed.[color=915f6d]"By 'willing to acquire protocols', you mean you want to learn, right...?"[/color]

Not hearing any more footsteps in the hallways, Solaris stood up and stretched lightly. "Anyway, as interesting as this conversation was, there are things to do." She commented, walking towards the door. "Let's see if we can't find this dearest ally of ours."

Vera shook her head toward Selim. [color=00aa44] "Correction: By 'use', unit meant the reason why the PIDtag exists, not the actual usage of the element. Revealing the PIDtag of the unit is legal, but to say why unit has a PIDtag is illegal." [/color] The android smiled and nodded at the second statement Selim gave her. [color=00aa44] "Yes, unit would like to 'learn'." [/color]

Looking back up to Rex, Vera sighed. [color=00aa44] "Unit's manufacurers require information about any unit to be withheld, as one would expect of any invention." [/color] Afterward, she nodded. [color=00aa44] "Unit is not human, despite its appearance." [/color]

[color=80bb00] "Alright then~ Think she's hanging out in the lounge again or in her room?" [/color] Pix said, as she had her mouth meld back into her form.

As the two left, Carmen's projection silently got ready to move as Carmen walked her way into the lounge, chuckling softly to herself. [color=bb0066] Well, that was enlightening. I wasn't expecting one of those goo girls to get shoved here too. [/color]

"So that probably means you're just an AI...But why the hell did you just sigh? And who make you." Rex asked.

 

[Chungus]

[color=915f6d]"Uhh... Okay."[/color] Selim responded, still looking unsure and confused. He opened his mouth, about to ask why Vera kept calling herself unit, until he heard Vera's comment towards Rex. [color=915f6d]"If you're not human, then are you a space al--Wait, no! A robot! You're a robot!!"[/color] He exclaimed, growing more excited again.

Leaving the room, Solaris considdered closing the door behind her, but decided not to bother, as it wouldn't make much difference with the rather large hole in it. "It could be either. But, the lounge is closer by, so let's check there first." She responded to Pix, speaking with a lowered voice as she headed towards the lounge.

Vera blinked a bit as she looked to Selim and nodded. [color=00aa44] "That description of the unit is sufficient." [/color] The android then looked back up to Rex and shrugged. [color=00aa44] "Unit felt that a sigh was the most fitting response to the question. Unit felt that the subject should have known that the withholding of information was something every living or non-living being had protocol for." [/color]

Pix simply gave a small hum in the affirmative before before staying silent as the two walked along. Carmen's bug-shaped projection would stop and head back to the room as soon as it heard that the duo was heading to the lounge. The demoness chuckled to herself as she continued to made it into the lounge and poured herself a glass of wine and laid back into a lounge chair, taking a small sip.

"How did you sigh? You have lungs or what? And you're still not telling me who made you. If you can't just say so."

[color=915f6d]"That is so cool! I met an actual robot!"[/color] Selim exclaimed happily. [color=915f6d]"So, what's it like being a robot, aside from having to keep a lot of secrets? You don't have to sleep or eat or drink or anything like that, right?"[/color] He asked while looking up excitedly towards Vera.

Approaching the lounge, Solaris focused on things that made her sad once more, thus feigning a more morose expression. Entering the lounge a few moments after Carmen had laid herself down on the lounge, Solaris herself entered, and looked around those in the lounge. Not seeing Ness, she forced a sad sigh, and approached Carmen, giving her a small wave. "Hello... Have you seen Vanessa around?" She asked. "I need to speak to her."

[color=bb0066] "Ah, I'm sorry to say I haven't seen her around since you skewered her on stage." [/color] Carmen replied to Solaris, taking a small sip of her glass. [color=bb0066] "I have to admit that was rather well done, by the way. It looks like our rookie isn't a rookie any longer." [/color]

Vera nodded once more. [color=00aa44] "Unit does not require food or drink, but it has taste functions.... for whatever reason it has taste functions for...." [/color] She said, scratching the back of her head. [color=00aa44] "Unit is not sure to describe how being a robot is... in comparison to living as a human." [/color]

Looking up to Rex, she shrugged. [color=00aa44] "Unit can replicate the sounds of humans, however what the unit's internal structures are is classified information. The identity of Vera's manufacturers is also classified information." [/color]

Rex rolled his eyes at all the secrecy. "So how about why you were created? Do you have some kind of purpose or are you just a proof of concept type of thing?"

At the mention of skewering Ness, Solaris had to suppress a smile, but did so rather well, her expression remaining a morose one. "Firstly, that was an accident... And secondly, don't talk like this is something I should be proud of..." She responded, blowing a sad sigh.

[color=915f6d]"So, you don't need to eat or drink... But you do need to sleep? What about breathing? Do you need to breathe?"[/color] Selim asked curiously. Having never seen a computer before, let alone an android, he didn't commented on Vera's demeanor switching between fully mechanical, and less so, believing this was standard. [color=915f6d]"Do you, like, ever wonder what it'd be like to be human? I often wonder what it'd be like to be a robot!"[/color]

[color=bb0066] "Well, you're going to need to get used to it, so taking this sort of steps bodes well for you. Not everyone is going to be as nice as that woman will be... and I'm sure you know that." [/color] Carmen said, looking to the screens idly before looking back to Solaris. [color=bb0066] "And so, how did that 'accident' come to be? You were shooting off little spears beforehand and that last blow was surely of a thicker variety. Excuse me if I believe that wasn't unintentional." [/color]

Vera shook her head at Rex. [color=00aa44] "That information is classified as well. Apologies." [/color]

Looking to Selim, she tilted her head. [color=00aa44] "Breathing is not necessary and sleep, as a human performs during nighttime, is not required either. Unit requires recharging and maintenance at certain times, much like any other machine." [/color]

Thinking over Selim's question, Vera looked up toward the ceiling, eyes filled with hourglasses once again before she looked back down. [color=00aa44] "Unit prefers the way it functions now... but it has wondered about life as a human. ...Seeing as humans made the unit, it only seems natural to want to know how a potential manufacturer may think." [/color]
