Rex kept quiet as he looked Vera over to try and figure her out. She was obviously far more advanced than anything even he had seen in the futuristic world of 2007.

"Wherther it's inflicting... or recieving." Having said that, and placing subtle emphasis on "recieving", Solaris looked back to Carmen's face. "It was due to lack of focus... That's the problem with using universal arrays, it requires thought to be put into the process. Before, I was standing still, making focusing easy, but... at that last blow, I was running forwards, and thus things went wrong."

Rex scratched his head as he saw Vera blush, then felt a little strange looking at what looked like a 16 year old girl, but he kept looking anyway because he really was interested in figuring her out.
Solaris didn't shy away from being looked in the eyes, returning Carmen's look, adding feigned indignance to her sad expression. "I'm not some battle-hardened warrior. When fighting, it becomes harder to keep a level head, leading to mistakes..." She responded, blowing a sigh, and turning around. "And I'm only fighing to prevent electrocution. I don't buy into this nonsense they'll grant the winner a wish and let them go on their way. I'll find a way out on my own eventually. Anyway... I'll check the room. Thanks." With that said, Solaris left the lounge again, and began making her way to Ness' suite.

Continuing down the hallways, Solaris wiped the indignant expression off her face, and when outside Ness' door, stopped and closed her eyes for a moment. Forcing tears to come to her eyes, Solaris wiped them away, leaving her eyes just looking moist. This should do. After this, she knocked on the door. "Vanessa...?" She called out with a soft voice.

Just move forward and swear that you'll try not to do something like it again." [/color] If Solaris looked up again, she'd see that Ness had her hat tipped to hide her eyes and seemed to be looking away from her.

Upon hearing Ness' words, Solaris sniffled a little, before falling quiet. And that's about enough of the thesbian talents. After wiping her tears away with her hand, Solaris slowly looked up again, seeing Ness had averted her eyes. "Y-you sound as if you're speaking from experience..." She stated, keeping the tremble in her voice, albeit to a lesser degree.
