This is honestly going to be interesting. While people are complaining the game looks pure action, it does seem to feature some possible horror aspects (One of the clips show them walking slowly in formation in a dark area full of corpses).

Plus if you watch the video, they don't really appear to be killing zombies that well. Sure they each have special roles/abilities and advanced weaponry, but their main mission and skillset is for killing human enemies. Considering it is a zombie based game, zombies will probably still pose a threat (The ability to soak up bullets like a sponge might have to factor in). Plus all the human conflicts and gunfights are only featured since they are part of the story and won't give away any details or information that the developers want to be kept secret (So we could very well be seeing some undead suddenly jumping from hidden spots, or fighting some mutated zombies). I also see that since each team member specializes in different things (One looks like stealth, Assault, Traps/Detection, and then CQB/Defense) that teamwork and communication could actually be important when playing online.

Edit: Something funny I've noticed is people saying 'Holding a zombie hostage...ect' *Facepalm*...obviously he isn't taking a hostage but rather using the zombie as a shield against gunfire (Cause it'd make more sense grabbing a enemy/zombie to use as a quick shield rather then trying to absorb the bullets yourself).

This game looks really cool so far. The bad guys are actually looking scarier than the zombies. I can't wait to mess some Umbrella bitches up as Leon, though.

What's Call of duty doing in Resident evil?

I mean it looks fun an all but taking a zombie as a hostage?...
Really?...
This is exactly what I thought! I love Resident Evil and have been collecting the games for a long time and I was excited about another one getting released but I will be honest this trailer really disappointed me. It looks like it's going to be a hasty release for a profit. I really hope I'm wrong though and it actually is fun because I'm probably going to buy it regardless!

We never see Leon get actually slashed or an actual gunshot.

I'm calling a twist that Claire or Ada shot the spec ops and the "target" is something else.
I'm gonna go with this as well. Either Claire's gonna rush up and ask what's going on or Ada acts like a femme fatale from a Bond movie. :D

I know I really shouldn't nit pic considering this is Capcom and logic isn't their strong point at times (not basing just saying) but why would you turn on your cloak device while you're still in the chopper? D:

Wow, some people sure are whiny about Capcom taking us back to Raccoon City and let us play an entirely different story this time instead of just making a forced tie-in story. Then there is also the fact that Capcom is not known for quality story.

They probably kill Leon as a way to make fans more interested about this twist.

I do hope Leon returns later as a G-virus abomination.

I like the idea of a four-player co-op Resident Evil game. That has a lot of promise. But do I have to play as a heartless murderer that can kill Leon? That makes me want to avoid this game. And really, why are we trying to kill all the cops? Did I miss something? You'd think Umbrella would have bigger things to worry about than a ROOKIE cop who's on his first day of the job. Keep in mind that Leon is not yet the ace that we all know and love at this point in the storyline
Not unless they're time travelling heartless murderers sent from the future to kill Leon Kennedy in the past! It's the plot to a Resident Evil game; I'm sure the previous sentence will make more sense than their actual explanation.

I'm torn, because on the one hand, the game looks like it'd be a lot of fun, and on the other, I'm going "remember when Resident Evil was about horror?" But that's basically been the same thing I said for RE:4 and RE:5 - they both were still really fun games, even if they were about as scary as laundry day. Survival Horror is essentially a dead genre - I don't know of anyone who is releasing anything like it.
