This is why superheroes only appear on TV in cartoon form. You just can't make stuff like this look good on a TV budget and without big stars filling the lead roles.
ummm...
i beg to differ
Well, I've never actually heard of it so I probably can't judge but it certainly looks like it sucks.

Smallville was terrible too.
Of Course smallville sucked.

Lois and Clark was amazing all the way up to the last season..then it sucked.

But it did give us Tempus.

Watch Why Wonder Woman Was Cancelled

A short clip gives us an idea of why the recent Wonder Woman television show was cancelled.
While I think it's grossly unfair to judge even this episode based on this tiny clip--I mean, what were you expecting to happen in less than a minute?--I do agree on the costume. In fact, I've always agreed with that sentiment.

Superhero costumes look ridiculous. Yeah, it's all about making your character stand out amidst a sea of other superheroes, but there's got to be some semblance of functionality. DC's best work was with the standard Batman costume. Theme? Conveyed. Everything else? Function.

It looks like the dream sequence to some cosplayer's inner psychological making...for the beginning of a porn flick.

Everyone was railing critics for getting this show cancelled. Turns out the critics couldn't have been more right. Many fanboys died to bring us this information.
The truth lies within the gate. Or so we are told then they release snip-its and then we are all like holy shit that sucks while other people are like fuck them for cancelling it.

I don't know what you guys are complaining about. That is probably the funniest thing I've seen in a long time and we desperately need some new comedies.

Back in January, Elizabeth Grunewald asked "Why did no one pick up the Wonder Woman series? [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/6.256527-Why-Did-No-One-Pick-Up-The-Wonder-Woman-Series?page=1]".

Can we now safely say that her question has been answered?

No one would watch it for the plot anyway. They would watch it because of a hot half-naked chick! And the worst thing is, it would make money because of that.

But damn, it looks terrible.

Funny thing is, I've never been able to judge acting very well. But even I can see that this is bad.

Yeah, that was really terrible. And yes her outfit looks out of place. But I must admit, it sure wouldn't look out of place in my bedroom, if you know what I mean. *wink wink nudge nudge*
Say no more, say no more.

OT: That was, to say the least, horribly incompetent. The thugs were laughable, the dialogue bad, and the costume was cheesy. Good choice of their part to can the show.

Indeed. Poor Chris, all he ever wanted to do growing up was making sure gates were locked and secured properly.

Looked terrible in a 'must watch it' car crash TV style.

It wouldn't be so bad if they were going for something campy but they clearly were not. Didn't hollywood stop seeing all thugs as huge muscle bound body builders years ago? Maybe with the economic down turn there are a lot of out work body builders for hire and they got them at thugs r us cheap.

Okay, admittedly I don't watch t.v., but how on earth can anyone be soooo critical of something after only seeing 36 seconds of it!!

Also, why o why are you criticizing something that has already been cancelled?? It's dead Jim. Well done. Now please move on to destroying the next maybe not perfect project so that you can all call yourselves critics and spare us from what? Bad stuff getting on t.v.??

Which, by the way, if that's your job? You suck at it far worse than that poor actress sucks at being Wonder Woman.

Now I know a lot of you "critics" probably want to flame me now, but just think! Somewhere out there someone is trying to start a project and has little money but has worked really hard on it and they're just waiting for you to come crush their work! Decisions....

I guess what gets me about that clip is she makes it past the outside gate which is CLEARLY tougher and yet they expect poor chris to lock a chain link gate and expect that to work? What was that fence supposed to be made of whatever indestructible material DC has?

It was cancelled? News to me. Anyway, what to say about that clip? Apart from that something about her body 'reacted' once she had pulled up the front door to the warehouse. It looks like the momentum was almost enough to knock her on her feet. Not what I'd expect from Wonder Woman. It's just a door!

Also, what is up with the look on Bald Red T-Shirt Man's face?
He's a red shirt he was probably expecting to be the one to lock the gate.

Sadly that fell to Chris.

Poor Chris...

If they are going to do Wonder Woman on TV they should take a look at Buffy and go from there I think.
