Seriously Chris, just lock the gate!

that was pretty cheesy, but I can't see why something like that wouldn't have worked on a network like SciFi(screw the SYFY crap), they'll give almost anything a couple seasons.
Yeah then cancel it when it starts to get really good! Not that i'm bitter about them cancelling SGU.

"a group of thugs that look like they just got finished drinking a protein shake or twelve"
Hehehe, that's the first thing I noticed too, second was the terrible acting they showed.

Good thing this didn't happen!

If you think about it, it kind of reminds you of what Smallville would have looked like if it had no special effects and Clark showed up only in his boxers. Not that Smallville was nearly as bad as this, but whenever they had smaller roles like "thug at a warehouse"...these were the guys they would have hired.

Also, think back to the old live action Birds of Prey show, y'know, the one where the main character (Huntress) was the bastard child of Catwoman and Batman and had metahuman powers. If you don't remember it, just picture Wonder Woman up there wearing black leather and a trench coat. Congratulations, you've just recovered a repressed memory (or saw through time).

I still find it sad the most effort I've ever seen put into a live action superhero show was when the Japanese decided to go all out and give Spider-man a giant robot. It was bad, but it was the fun kind of bad. (in case you don't believe me, look it up)

Yeah. That looked really, really dumb. The casting was horrible, the directing was horrible and the acting sounded like a bunch of high schoolers who found their dad's video camera. Talentless, tacky and shite.

Shame. I was hoping it would be all right. Hell, I would have settled for a touch of the Xena: Warrior Princess effect (knowing that you are terribly silly and being charming by not taking yourself too seriously).

And the casting for WW? No. Just, no. Physique aside, she just didn't have the regal bearing that I would expect. Some women look like they can kick the shite out of you, some don't. She was just all wrong.

Yes, I know the outfit is kind of daft. But I have a soft spot for it. What can I say, Lynda Carter was one of my first crushes (I was 6 or 7 and thought she was just awesome).

ummm...
i beg to differ
Well, I've never actually heard of it so I probably can't judge but it certainly looks like it sucks.

Smallville was terrible too.

That wasn't just terrible, that was terribad. It's like they went down to Gold's Gym and, caught a bunch of personal trainers on a coffee break and asked them to come shoot a quick scene in the Sam's Club loading dock across the street. Generic thugs, generic Wonder Woman action.

And yet, I'd still like to see the entire episode. I'm just morbidly curious like that, I guess.

I guess they've been playing Bros Blasting Bros?

OT. Hmmm, yeah, doesn't look all that special.

What's with all the gangbang porn set rejects? I bet they were wondering when was it that they had to whip it out and start whacking it till it was their turn up to bat.

Wow... Sometimes I wonder if Television is slowly going down the tube.
Nah, it's always been that bad, we just had less entertainment options before so it stands out now more than ever.

Wow, that was bad, I didn't see much potential in this series to begin with but that was just laughable. The outfit looked cheap, like something you'd find at a costume shop and who the heck were those thugs? Did the 24 Hour Fitness trainers go rogue or something? If the rest of pilot was as bad as this scene I can understand why NBC didn't pick it up.

I can't believe I just watched over thirty seconds of that.

People were actually paid to produce this? How on earth do you get this many things wrong? The writing is terrible. The acting is terrible. The camera is terrible. The lighting is terrible. The costuming is terrible. Everything is terrible.

The premise of the show wasn't as disastrous as everyone kept making it out to be. It's not as though there haven't ever been good, mature live-action superhero shows. The problem here isn't the premise, it's the execution (in seemingly every way imaginable).

While I tend not to be too judgemental from a clip or trailers etc but I got to admit that clip does look very generic. Also why she didn't have pant since she was wearing them from that other clip and promo images.

Poor Chris. We should start a hospital fund for that guy so we can donate.

The scene had similar problems to green lantern but the terrible CGI was mercifully absent. The costume sucked ballsack it wasn't shot all that well and the bad guy (or in this case bad guys) looked stupid albeit for different reasons. Oh and the acting and dialogue was awful cant forget that. I still want to see the whole thing though.

I've seen much worse.

I dunno. Chances are it would've been pretty bad, but the actress fills out the costume nicely and... did I miss something in all the debate about her outfit since what's she's wearing there is much closer to the character's comic book look than what was seen in the stills from filming.
For me the problem is what it is made out of. It looks like plastic and thin rubber or something instead of and actual materiel that a super hero might wear. Probably because of a pitifully low budget.

It was actually pretty good series there were only 4 seasons and it stayed pretty faithful to the comics. you should check it out. I was made in the 90's when hollywood actually researched the material b4 putting shit on the screen. but i agree with on one thing: Smallville sickened me the only time i got interested was when lana lane became a witch and it looked like it was going to get good. it didn't

Some stuff that looks cool in the comics, just looks silly in "reality". But personally a lot of WW mythos just looks silly in any version, freakin' invisible planes made out of crystals etc....just too much for my taste.
Actually the new comic costume might have worked here as it's kind of more practical than this, even though, as was mentioned, she fills this costume really nice. And I think the attitude with which she enters the warehouse is kind of fitting to the character, but everything else is just bad.

Btw. is this "Wonder Woman (TV movie) (post-production)" on imdb, the same project?

It was cancelled? News to me. Anyway, what to say about that clip? Apart from that something about her body 'reacted' once she had pulled up the front door to the warehouse. It looks like the momentum was almost enough to knock her on her feet. Not what I'd expect from Wonder Woman. It's just a door!

Also, what is up with the look on Bald Red T-Shirt Man's face?

Why is Wonder Woman raiding the storeroom of Gold's Gym? And why, of all the muscle-bound dudes, do they send Chris, the scrawniest guy there?

..Excuse me while I go watch copious amounts of Justice Unlimited for a Wonder Woman that doesn't suck balls (figuratively, shut up), and doesn't injure my eyes in attempt to watch the scene's with her in them.

This is just bad.

That...

Was not nearly as bad as this article, or any of the comments made it out to be. Yeah, it may be cliche, but its only a thirty second clip. I wasn't really interested in the show, and this certainly didn't make me want to watch any more of it, but had I been interested, it wouldn't have turned me off of it.
