"He used a spell to make it so that it was considerably heavier and sharper to cleave through a tree. Or he used an invisible blade and made it look like he cleaved through a tree"

"Nope. Was just an enchanted staff. No spell whatsoever."

"Th-thank you Jean." Phoenix went back to hugging Jean again.

"So...I wonder if we could find a bottle of oil in this ship..." Jean pondered aloud.

"You can use some spells very quietly"

"I don't exactly understand the whole thing with oil..." Phoenix tilted her head.

"There's no need for shouting or talking spells to activate them. You just kinda do it."

"Well you can't have a massage without oil!" Jean said with a genuine smile.

"Than how did you know he didn't use a spell"

"Magic detection. Adventurers and more magic folk can detect magical abilities. The Rose has specific soldiers to detect magic use as well."

"Uuuhh... Ok, I guess. I wouldn't know."

"What class are you in adventuring anyway. Your an Eldritch knight perhaps"

"Uh what? No. I'm a DragonLord. And adventuring is for the younger DragonLords."

"An Eldritch knight. They are people of legend riding on magic carpets while cutting off people's heads and light people on fire with spells. And adventuring is not limited to a single class of people. I have adventured and I am but a simple ranger raised in the forest"

"Well...unless there is some in this ship, I think we are out of luck for now." Jean said.

"Oooookkk... But no, DragonLords are less or more of knights for a Kingdom. 'Super-Heroes' persay. Adventuring is left to the Adventurers themselves or young DragonLords."

"Maybe... Maybe Katrina got some?"

@All: No, she didn't. What Katrina got was... food, and cold cuts.

"Then how the hell can you use magic."

"Maybe." Jean said as she shrugged.

"Magic is in everything back home. All you need to do is concentrate. Or have one of the Elemental Orbs if you can't harness magic correctly." Katrina said. "The best way I can think of it is like playing a little game called hockey. Hockey players have been known to play other sports, but players of those other sports can't play hockey."

"I don't trust magical objects. Much more likely to back fire than actual magic. Anyway I'm going to take a nap" Halt used his portable tree and fell asleep in it
