Knights armor seemed to finally give way...There was a bright flash of light and everyone was knocked away from Knight and Jean.

"HehehehahahhahaHAHAAHA AHAHAHAHAHAAH. Ah...ah. So much fun teasing mortals." "Knight" said after laughing maniacally...

Strange black and purple tentacles emerged from Jean's back and lifted her off of the ground. She seemed quite lifeless at this point...

"I'm not liking where this is going...and I think you all have other things to worry about..." Joseph said, indicating what was happening with 'Knight' and Jean.


OOC: Next group...

Long fang turned, before handing the knife to Mitsuru. "Less complaining if you do it. You get a choice. I doubt we could set up a prison. You have to make a choice to kill, in order to protect. Make it carefully." He ran to the battle, tossing out the smart disc to lop off the abomination-Jean's tentacles off.

The wanderer waved Long fang in, before firing again, aiming for whatever was in the Knight's armor.

OoC: Sorry guys, I gotta go. Please knock out Orm.
Tophat was knocked away with greater force than the others, due to it's small size and proximity to Jean. It hit the ship with tremendous speed and then fell to the ground, unmoving.

"Au contraire, I'm much better than you. After all, you're the one who was hiding from me." Etna said to Joseph, dropping the playfulness and now sounding purely malicious. She watched Tao run off and sighed. "Why does everyone feel like making things painful for themselves? Is it 'Masochist Day' or something?" She aimed her weapon at Tao and fired a burst of three bullets at her legs, then gave chase. She was content in letting Mitsuru kill Joseph, as she no longer had time to waste on him.

Flonne was knocked away several feet and landed on her back. She sat up and groaned, then looked over at what was happening with Jean. "M-M-Miss Jean?..." Was all Flonne could manage to say as she was completely stunned.

Phoenix was knocked back, but kept her ground, still pointing the beam sabre at "Knight" "Put. Her. Down. Now. And remove that curse... Nemesis. I could careless else if you're some God..." There are no Gods... They wouldn't make mistakes...

The rainbow colored particles started reaching a peak point, as they swirled around the group. Peaceful, elegant but... like a rattlesnake's tail.

OoC: *Sigh* Looks like @Nail was right... Well, I guess I'll give him his props for all to see. And I was certain that Thantos was the true villain!

@Salty: I thought it was pretty obvious who the main villain was.... Especially with the context of the characters that @Outis: introduced....

Fang managed to cut off all of the tentacles, but the same amount (eight) grew in their place. They lashed out at him and Wanderer with great speed, like living spears intending to impale them. Orm was knocked out by them.

Nemesis laughed melodiously as she was attacked, seeming genuinely amused and unharmed. "Oh you poor, poor darlings...You think you can hurt me..." she said with a smile.

"I really think she's more of a threat than I am." Joseph said to Mitsuru, talking about Etna. When he saw her shoot Tao, he instantly looked angry. "And did you see that? You can't let her do that!" he shouted.

OOC: Next group.

I was wondering if someone would have the right idea. Did anyone actually consider Joe to be the main villain?

OoC: @Rosh Well, I knew that Knight was more important than was being let on. That, in fact, he was tied to the true villain if not the true villain. But, I figured that Thanatos was that villain. It would make sense seeing as how he was controlling the group and all.
@Outis: Nope, I sure didn't. Not since Normandy, I'd say. And I always suspected Thanatos from day one. Even before his introduction.

OoC: @Rosh Well, I knew that Knight was more important than was being let on. That, in fact, he was tied to the true villain if not the true villain. But, I figured that Thanatos was that villain. It would make sense seeing as how he was controlling the group and all.

But that would be silly, cause that would mean he was working against himself...

@Salty: I've seen that plot device used before... But honestly, it couldn't apply with Thanatos. It's not fitting for his character in any sort of way. I really don't think a "Paz Ortega Andrade" type would fit with him. It just doesn't seem to work.

Raven was flung back from the blast and tumbled a little before recovering. Looking up at Nemesis he said "Aw yer kidding...I liked ya too!" Seeing Jean attack the group he took a few seconds to conjure up a a tornado around her, with intent to use the intense winds to throw her far from the group.

Mitsuru barely even blinked. She pocketed the knife, summoned her Persona, and formed an immense ice block around Joseph, leaving him breathing room and air holes "I'm not going to kill you, I would rather see you rot in imprisonment... and then once you do die, you can continue to rot as a "Prinny." She turned and started heading for the rest of the group, stopping to heal Tao and help her up

Dokurod eyes opened. "That knight thing was...Nemesis....see Odile...I told you we couldn't trust the Gods....." "She...lied....betrayed...trust...Broken...Let's go...Father..." Odile said to Dokurod then fire a couple of dark magic blasts.

Tao looked up puzzled. "Knight guy...was a girl?" She muttered to herself, then fell over when she got shot in the leg by Etna. "MEOW! the hell was that for....I thought we were on the same team Meow!" She to Etna, annoyed she got her claws out in defense. "Thanks there red lady..." She said to Mitsuru, but kept her eyes on Etna.

"I knew the likes of you couldn't be trusted...." Venomion said, as her shadows appeared over her arms and turned into blades. "Why...that is all I ask...Why would you do this!" She said as she went to Swipe at Nemesis.

Joe didn't say anything, but he was feeling pretty relived in general. He also wondered what a Prinny was.

Jean was blown away from the group, but landed on her 'feet' and was still prepared to attack the group.

Nem re-summoned her scythe before she spoke. "Because I was sick of it! Being chained like a slave, and you mortals holding the chain. Forced to serve you for all eternity. Bah! I had better things to do." she said defiantly. She allowed all the attacks to hit her...and seemed completely unharmed. "Now, before I do anything..." she said before disappearing in a purple mist and appearing next to Tao. She unceremoniously tore off Tao's coat and fished the book out...giving a slight pause to appraise Tao's...choice of clothing.

There was a very loud crack of thunder suddenly, almost deafeningly loud and Than stepped out a cloud of black fire. "Nemesis." he said in an incredibly loud voice, about as loud as the thunder, his face actually showing some hints of rage. Nem turned to face him and gave him a sly grin. Before any more words were spoken, Than grabbed Nem by the throat and the both vanished.

Phoenix turned to Jean, as her armor started shifting around slowly. The rainbow particles had peaked and stabilized. She also put away her beam sabre, floating over to Jean, hand outstretched.

"Jean... It's us... I don't want to fight you...." she said.

Etna skidded to a halt as Nemesis disappeared with the book. "What? What?! What?! What just happened?! Please don't tell me that just happened! I'm just delusional aren't I? I know, I'll just close my eyes and make this all go away." Etna clamped her eyes shut as hard as she could for a few seconds before looking around and seeing that nothing changed. She was visibly shuddering with rage as she realized what had happened. She flew up into the air and started to glow black as her full aura formed around her...

Flonne looked at Jean and seemed absolutely horrified. She saw Phoenix and thought, You know what to do Miss Phoenix, only the power of Love can solve this! she silently rooted Phoenix on.

OOC: I'm gonna go get something to eat, so if I'm not back for my next turn, feel free to skip me.

Long fang plucked out a spear, moving to pin a tentacle. Wanderer moved forward as well, catching a spear long fang tossed him.
