The Rookie looked at the soldier and blinked once before nodding. He took the datapad and worked for a bit before placing the datapad back on the table.
(To the soldier: He was part of a elite team tasked with infiltrating that ship, but after that explosion he found himself in your world.)

The recording began with the Rookie looking down on Earth from his drop-pod, still hanging aboard a UNSC ship. Then, a sergeant yelled something over the com and a large amount of drop-pods dropped down towards Earth. After a course correction, the Covenant ship going into slipspace caused a massive EMP. The helmet cam shorted out and the screen turned black for a while before showing the Rookie's approach over the Forward defence base.
"Will do." Trilby said. He removed the holsters from his belt, and put them in his inventory.
"Just out of curiosity, what's your problem with technology?" he asked as he pulled out two different holsters. Inside each of these, instead of a gun, was a pair of wands.

@Nail: No, she wouldn't have. Ever since last thread, she's been able to keep her footsteps and landings silent. But I probably should've wrote that in, my bad. And was just checking to make sure it wasn't the Legaian base, cause what you posted would've been valid then.

Brooke would find that there were two known types of ghost. One would be the kind appearing as a vaguely humanoid semi-transparant apparition, often incapable of speech. The other would be the ash ghost unique to Valencheirn. There have been sightings of the common ghosts in both Xiphatia, and Legaia. It is still unknown how ghosts exsist and appear to be sentient, the ash ghosts raising even more questions.

Anyway, from another world or not, you were still fighting a Xiphatian citizen in the street, causing unrest and endagering the lives of other civilians."

(To the soldier: There's more, and that guy you're talking about isn't from this world either. I met him long ago, at the beginning of my existance. The fucker is the reason I have this damn patch on me.)

After the crash, the recording showed the Rookie's cautious attempts to exit his drop-pod. After he did, it was not long until the meeting with Tiberius. Though it was not exactly an amazing diplomatic success, at least they didn't attack each other. After that, the recording cut forward to the Rookie seeing Tophat dimension jump into a forest.
Next, the recording showed the roadside attack by the Covenant, including the rather gruesome sight of the Rookie's shoulder getting melted.
Eventually Maria snapped out of her light struck stupor was reminded of Lilah in her arms. It was then she noticed the hooded figure had disappeared from her view and she felt uneasy at that development. However deciding that Lilah needing immediate medical help was more important than trying to find and tail a potentially dangerous individual, Maria stepped into the town and began looking for help as she called out "Can I get some help here? Hello, anybody? Requesting some assistance here."
