"Incoming!" One trooper shouted as the fireball exploded nearby. "First fireteam, attack the new target! Hawkings, take that laughing bastard's head off if you're finished feeling sick!" The sniper nodded and aimed at Black, looking for a head-shot. "Copy, taking the shot." She fired, as did the trooper with laser gun and one of the mag-rifle users. The medic focused on healing the sniper, as the heavy gunner did not seem to notice being drained. He and the Lt. opened fire on the source of the fireball, sending a stream of bolts at the hand.

Ella keyed her radio, and requested that the surrounding blocks be evacuated ASAP. She then continued to fire at the zombie monster, noting that she had to reload soon.

 

[Slenn]

Fire Escape

"I spot a back alley over there." She pointed. And she down the staircase towards said alleyway.

Basketball Court

She shook her head "Not really. As I said before it behaves like cotton, at least on the outside." She brought the two sleeves together once again and they became rigid cones. They formed an enclosed volume and soon began to hum. The symbols on the sleeves glowed blue. "The symbols are ports where anything can draw electrical power from. Assuming you have the correct port."

Montreal, Quebec, Canada. March 5th, 2025

Around Midnight​

Nina's trick worked wonders against the barrier of tree trunks and branches. The combined shots of Yauna, Dalahar and the fireteam burst open the chest of the monster.

Green's body was visible, laid bare.

Branches formed around the area again, but they weren't nearly as thick as before. Green was still reachable, if acted on quickly.

Black was hit in the head by the sniper, but he still laughed, as the channeling continued. "Well fought." he stated. "I'm nearly out of mana. I would hereby formerly surrender."

Montreal Streets, Around Midnight

Seeing the opening, Yauna floated up to Green and began hitting the reforming branches with her hands, using the necrotic effect to stop their regrowth. "You should surrender before you get killed." she said, her voice layered with magic that would enter Green's mind and tell him that Yauna's suggestion was a good idea. It would be resistible, though he might not want to.

Basketball Court, Pointe Saint-Charles, Montreal. Afternoon. March 4th​

"So, these ports are what power the electromagnets?"

Kuki asked, looking at the sleeves stiffening. Not seeing anything resembling a battery on the sleeves, Kuki asked,

"But what powers these ports?"

Hotel fire escape, Pointe Saint-Charles, Montreal. Midnight. March 5th​

Still shaken by thinking they narrowly avoided being blown up by the exploding fireball, Kuki kept hunkered down in the satchel, trembling and not saying anything. This would remain the case for the next couple of seconds.

 

[Vakra jal]

The Dalahar thing has his eyes widened as he sees the storm of fire reveal Green. With a growl of exaltation he bounded forth, his plan to approach the giant and scale its legs to reach the point where green was revealed. His demonic body feeding his weapon opens up once more. the shots would have more trouble hitting Green herself. the Dalahar thing was sprinting full pelt and she was a smaller target

"No. Part of the reserve power in the sleeve's batteries is used to help start up the magnets. When they're online, the power from the fusion reaction can sustain the reaction. Within the sleeves is a network of wires that convert electricity from heat. They connect to the ports."

 

[Drakmorg]

The attacks that destroyed the barricade also had the same effect on the Black Arm, causing it to dissipate into wisps of black smoke.

Nina cackled to herself as she saw her plan had worked. She scuttled up towards Green, angrily howling when she saw Yauna and Dalahar also going for her target. "Out of my way!" She screamed, her voice distorted and rendered deeper to the point of no longer being recognizable.

Two Black Arms sprouted out of her back, one swiped at Yauna, aiming to swat her out of the way more than anything else, and the other reached towards Green, attempted to grab hold of his chest and yank him out of the giant.

 

[Slenn]

Alleyway.

After a bit of rushing down the staircase, the three of them made it down safe from harm.

Montreal, Quebec, Canada. March 5th, 2025
- Streets of Montreal -
Around Midnight​

It's fine.

Green nodded, as he did not attempt to fight the suggestion Yauna had given him. "I surr..."

Dalahars attacks did not do much, but endanger Nina and Yauna. Green had been tied in deeply into the giant ... until Nina yanked him out. As he was already about to surrender, he did not put on much resistance, actually letting go of the giant very fast.

His hands, Nina would see, were not flesh, but twigs and branches now.

"I surrender." Green repeated.

The giant was about to fall and crumble, but because of the way it was grown, this took some time.

 

[Kirke]

"Uh, boss? I don't feel so good..." - The heavy gunner said as he felt the effects of the life-drain. The medic quickly hurried over and attempted to heal him, while the lieutenant shouted to Black; "I'm coming over, stay absolutely still or we will open fire!" The mag-rifle trooper, the sniper and the laser gun trooper all aim at Black, ready to open fire.

 

[Silence]

Black stopped the life drain. The healer would not be able to do much for the healer, but a good week of sleep should heal him.

He waited until the lieutenant came over to him, standing still.

 

[Chungus]

Basketball Court, Pointe Saint-Charles, Montreal. Afternoon. March 4th​

"I see. Clever bit of engineering!"

Kuki said, appreciating the design of the sleeves.

"But, okay, continue."

Expecting Shana to start the fusion reaction, soon, Kuki changed the make-up of two pair of eyes to zoom in, down to the cellular level, very curious in just how the cell make-up worked in the reaction.

Nebulous LLC.​

Seeing the battle wind down through their spy network, and focusing especially on Green looking to be in a bind, the interested entity prepared action. They put agents on stand-by, but did nothing further, for the moment.

The energy spike created by Red re-entering the world did not go unnoticed through this, Prompting the Watcher to turn in her direction, and monitor her movement.

Her keen ears picked up on the difference in the noise level.
"It sounds like they're surrendering."

Montreal Streets, Around Midnight

Yauna floated down to the ground, out of the way of the arm, and as she descended she said, "If you're going to kill him, please don't wreck his face so I can talk to him if need be."

Instead of replying to Green, Nina screamed as she was shot in the back by Dalahar, the shot tearing a massive hole clear through her torso. While not killing her, the damage required considerable effort to be put forth on her part to remain conscious.

She quickly brought Green's head over towards her's with her Dark Arm, then bit down on Green's neck. Her canines were supernaturally sharp, tearing through Green's flesh and piercing his jugular vein with minimal resistance. With unnatural speed, she drained Green's body of blood. Once the body was dry, she simply released it, letting it fall to the ground.

She howled victoriously. The hole in her torso began rapidly filling with a black, viscous fluid until it resumed the shape it had before being blown open.

"Now, let's see about the second course." She quickly began climbing down, making a bee-line towards Black.

"To get the temperature on the level of a thermonuclear fusion reaction, nuclear fission is started." The palms of the hands are brought close together within the sleeves. "The calories from food is definitely not on the level of that of a fusion reactor. However conventional nuclear fission in bombs from the 1940's was started by creating a chemical reaction to force the nuclear material against a neutron source. A system of cells creates the gel to absorb the heat. Another group creates strips the atomic nuclei of their electrons through bio-electricity. The next group creates another gel that ignites when exposed to a spark. The spark from bio-electricity ignites the gel beneath the atomic nuclei and rams them together. And this creates a fission reaction hot enough to start nuclear fusion."

Montreal, Quebec, Canada. March 5th, 2025

Wooops.

Green obviously did not do much more, but the giant fell on its back, crushing buildings behind it.

Black was still not moving, but still in his armour, not as easily bit - not to mention the uncertainty of what exactly was in his armour.

Red was moving now, quickly, towards the battlefield. [color=e50000]"Stop."[/color]

 

[Kirke]

The lieutenant gave Black a wide berth, moving around and approaching him from the side. "Alright, put your hands on your back and turn away from me, understand?" If Black complied, the Lt. would step up behind him and cuff him. The cuffs were thicker than ordinary ones, and were designed so that the chain would break first, leaving the rest undamaged. This was because installed into them were electric shock devices that could be activated remotely. The heavy gunner and medic continued their way down to ground level, but the trooper with a mag-rifle noticed Nina's approach. "Halt and identify yourself!" - He shouted, while trying to track her with his rifle.

Ella was horrified to see Green get killed, and shouted at Nina to stop. She then hurried over towards Green's body to check if he was still alive.
