Wearing socks in bed

i use to do it but I have stopped doing it and just go barefoot.
even outside.

I do in the winter or if I get back late from a party or something, but otherwise I don't.

it's not a sanitation issue, perticularly as you said you had different socks for day/night. i only sleep with socks on if it's cold or i get cold feet

I only did it a few times when it got insanely cold out in the winter. Like -10 degrees. And yes, I think it's a sanitation issue if you've been in just socks walking around all day, because that's all just gonna rub into your sheets. You can keep the house as clean as you want, but there's always a possibility it could carry something there.
