I don't wear socks in bed, preferably I don't wear socks out of bed either.
[sup]But I can only do that when I'm home...[/sup]

I don't mind either way, i sometimes have socks on in bed and sometimes don't. Doesn't make a difference with me.

I used to despise sleeping in socks, but I realized that it makes little difference after a couple of nights where I was just too damn tired to take them off. Now about 60% of the time I sleep with socks on.

I hate wearing things on my feet full stop, shoes, socks, everything; always have. It's just a thing, I guess it's how I grew up, running around bare foot, however I occasionally wear socks to bed when it's cold, and it can get bloody cold around here.

I only sleep with socks on if I have a cold, or if I'm out travelling and can't be bothered to undress at all before going to bed.

When I do sleep with socks on though, I wear the same socks that I wore during the day, and change my socks in the morning instead. Seems more sanitay to me. Same reason why I shower in the morning and not in the evening.

I sleep with socks on in winter, its warm and cozy. My room is technically warm enough, or could be, but i prefer leaving the window a little bit open for fresh air so it gets a bit chilly

I don't wear them in bed because all my socks leave a big dent around my leg where the top of them are which isn't particularly good for me.

I have trouble getting to sleep when there's even one portion of my body that is chilled, so on cold nights I tend to keep the warmth consistent. Yay socks.

I do it every night because Its cold in my room :p. I assumed that was the general reason people did it. As for a sanitation issue, I have no idea what this guys talking about, so I would have called him a germaphobe too.

No... and everyone who does is no human, i think *g*.

Ah well... but this comes from a man who doesn't wear socks at home, or shoes for that matter. Barefoot is healthy. I just put on some slippers when i answer the door.

I tried sleeping in my socks once. I got weird itchy shit all over my toes, so it didn't happen again.

Depends how cold it is in the room, really. I don't put on a fresh pair, though. What's the point? Your feet'll get washed in the shower in the morning, why dirty a new pair of socks for the eight-ish hours you'll be asleep?
