like having an unwanted sexual thought and having to say a prayer to dispell them.
So thinking about making out with a person whether I want to or not is actually normal? That's good to know.

Also I get annoyed if someone leaves a tv on in the other room, even if its "silent." My roommate in college had a habit of forgetting the TV on when he went out after using his PS3. That would leave it on the blue screen with no sound but I could still hear the tubes buzzing in the TV. Such is the difficulty of having freakishly good hearing.
Oh, I can't stand that. I can always hear a high pitched scream coming from my TV, as if it's in pain or something. I can hear it more than normal right now too.

OT: I can't stand people leaving a door open when it should be closed. It's okay if I don't know it's open or if someone is going to use it soon, but when you leave a room for good or enter one, you should be closing that door.

I must wash my hands after using the toilet and flush after every use. It's just not pleasant to walk in and see a bowl of urine festering there and to wash your hands, no matter what you've just done, is standard hygiene.

On that hygiene note, I always shower before leaving the house despite of time, place and occasion. You never know you who're going to run into when you go out and nobody likes to be around someone smelly or be the smelly one. Deodorant and anti-perspiration will mask things, not combat them.

I'm completely OCD about my books. I have to have them in order from largest to smallest and I don't let anyone borrow them, especially after my dad's wife borrowed my copy of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix and it came back with water stains on the pages and the cover was all bent around the edges.
I always give rules when lending something. In the case of a book I'd tell them that the only acceptable damage is spine creases and that even then they should try and keep them as hidden as possible, not bending the book too much. Dog ears, pen marks, water damage and page or cover bending is unacceptable and they will have to buy a new one if the damage is too much. Every fellow nerd will appreciate and abide by the rules. Someone as careless as your Dad's wife should be frozen out for her lack of care.

I'm scared of people touching my neck. I can't watch movies or shows that depict people getting killed via the neck (mainly slitting, I can handle seeing people being strangled or broken). I literally freak the fuck out when someone goes near my neck.
I have a friend that hates the exact same thing. I don't think he's as bad for seeing it, but when we all went to the fire station for a demonstration on how to get out of a car crash, he was told that he would be given a spinal injury. With that issue, someone had to go behind him and hold his head in position while they cut the car roof off by holding his neck. He came out of the car shaking, if that had been anyone else then he would probably have punched them. To make things worse, he had to drive 4 guys somewhere for lunch. Not a good day for him at all.

i have pretty bad ocd. my compulsion is that i always have to say "gross" whenever someone coughs, sneezes, or sniffles. i'm terrified that i'll get a cold or the flu, but nothing else. i'm ok with the stomach flu and stuff that does not include sniffling, even if that thing is deadly, but colds... ew.

Well yeah if the thought is intrusive and unwanted than yeah it's an obsession, though it's not exactly normal (though it is a common psychological phenomena). Watch out for a compulsion too. If it really gets to the point of interefing with your life there are interventions, some people don't realise how pervasive it is till they're gone.

I am terribly afraid of heights, and get really dizzy and have to pull back if I get t close to a high up ledge.

As for OCD, I have to touch or tap most surfaces I pass.

Phobia: Spiders, Heights and Snakes
OCD's: I don't allow myself to touch gaming equipment of any kind (Including but not limited to: Controllers, cords, the console itself and games) without making sure my hands are clean and that involves washing them a countless amout of times.

I feel compelled to drink as much liquid as I can when I'm at a restaraunt.

I can't eat off another person's fork.

I hate people touching my head or face.

I dislike wearing shoes, I haven't worn any type of closed toe foot wear since my brother's wedding, that was the 4th of July.

I HATE talking on the phone, even with people I really like, even if it's a rivetting and fun conversation, I'll try to get it over with as soon as possible.

I love guns, I watch shows about them, I go to gun stores and just ask the employees about the guns, I've befriended people just because their parents own guns.

I can remember random facts I've heard years ago, but I can't remember my parents birthdays or anniversery, important things I've learned in school, or my friends last names.

I'm afraid of falling, but not heights, I've been on roller coasters, on top of mountains, to the top of the Eifel Tower, but if I trip and fall 4 feet my heart will be pounding out of my chest.
