Finally, I thought I was the only way that felt that way. They did a little better with Modern Warfare 1 and Black ops, but in almost every other game (especiall Modern Warfare 2) the way the guns looked, and how they sounded when you reloaded, they always reminded of playing with toy guns.Dr. McD said:Not really that weird, these are supposed to be WEAPONS, they are MADE for KILLING, if they feel like paper it might be okay in over-the-top action games like Devil May Cry, but in a gritty cover based shooter it can fuck right off.JohnnyDelRay said:What annoys me about the CoD series is that the guns feel weak as hell. I know, maybe not everyone agrees with me, but they just feel and sound like pea shooters. Now I know in real life guns don't take heads and limbs off and insta-gib if you put a 9mm slug in someone's leg, no, it's just the feel of shooting and loading them, has no weight or recoil. I think even Counter-strike 1.6 guns had a better feel to them (anyone remember zooming in the Sig 552, that slow chunky crack you get instead of full-burst? And the silenced M4? Even the USP? yummy)
No, you just don't like badly designed games. It's quite logical, of course, but has little to nothing to do with consoles. The things you listed are fairly easily surmountable if approached by a developer who actually does their job.TheKasp said:Nah, I fully understand that. I hate bad controls, no options to change my settings etc. This all happens if the game is designed for consoles.StriderShinryu said:I think it's pretty weird when someone has decided to not like a game simply because the developerss created it for a console or with a console version in mind. Then again, that's really no different than not liking a game simply because it's on System X (which, shockingly, isn't the system the person complaining happens to own).
I despise Jack Black so I'm not touching that thing.ABLb0y said:I tried to like Brutal Legend, but all of the characters (Apart from Ophelia) Annoyed the hell out of me. Especially Eddie.
Thank you. Why the hell would an american task force use soviet weapons it makes no sense.baddude1337 said:It doesn't stop me from playing it, but it irks me when in modern "realistic" shooters, they use the wrong guns or have totally the wrong uniforms and gear.

I know they're in Italy but I've seen plenty of Italian movies and I know nobody talks like that. It's like they got Mario's voice-actor to voice everyone.
Your post inspired me to spend 45 minutes finding this:xXxJessicaxXx said:My friend will never PVP in WOW because he 'opposes the war' he even wrote a 5 page dissertation on how much of an affront it is.
I have to say the whole excuse of 'because we were enemies in the past' is getting kind of old when there is giant death dragons and zombie kings wandering around. But it is just a game.
TheCrownlessKing said:El Shaddai, I will probably never buy because after seeing it advertised so much on here I just got sick of it.
It's apparently one of the most highly anticipated games of the year. Then why haven't I heard of it until you started shoving the ads in my face every time I try to watch ZP?Stammer said:I don't like El Shaddai because it beat me to death with ads. And they weren't even good ads, either.
Other than CoD and GTA 4, he doesn't play much...mysecondlife said:now I'm curious... what's his taste in games?ThatLankyBastard said:I was trying to get my friend to try Amnesia: The Dark Descent and after about 3 minutes of playing he quit... When I asked him wy he said "because it's Luigi's Manion with better graphics"
This is the same friend that didn't like Bioshock because "you spend too much time underwater"
It was the PS3 version, I just bought it a couple of days ago. And yes he has no sense of humor, not a really good one anyway.funguy2121 said:
