I mainly remember the word from MGS 3 when you kill Ocelot.
The "x"es are the unfortunate result of all the other variations being used already

Well, when a day ends, things fall into the twilight hours of dusk. After dusk comes night, but the twilight soon returns as under another name, dawn.

I like the thought of twilight, something about the way it ushers in day and night. Plus, I think the sky looks the most beautiful during these hours, that strange "in-between" period.

I don't know how to describe it, but there's something poetic about the words "Day, dusk, night, and dawn".

So, that's why I picked my name. I use it, or some variation of the words "Dusk, day, dawn, night, nocturnal, diurnal, crepuscular". I like having a common theme among my usernames.

The twilight based usernames tend to run into some trouble when people mention a certain book series, however.

The history behind it is that it is what my characters name would be in the pokemon world. His name would be proxima but because he is the leader of an organisation named Team Dimension he is called LeaderProxima

So, I like my handles/usernames/things very farming random. Usually, it's a mix of the two most current things that keep me busy at the time of account creation.

And I like my 'avatars' to go with the random user name. Black on white, no fuss, like old, genuine Volvo or Saab cars. Because you can't go all Ferrari all day and then expect to feel special and blessed on Sunday.

I don't like usernames with numbers in them. They make you look like a droid, which, if you don't happen to be mostly artificial, seems just plain wrong to me.

Bloodtrozorx is my XBL gamertag, I got XBL and tried to use my trusty online handle that I had for years and discovered it was taken, so I slammed the song Bloodtrocuted with Zorx and thus Bloodtrozorx. Damn you Dethklok.

According to a close group of friends, Simonoly is apparently the name of my evil alter ego who skins and eats babies in a distant fairy tale land. I took it as a complement of sorts and now it's become my username for so many things.

OP: I thought this thread occurred before, but thinking again, I think the thread I was thinking about was about avatars, not names. D'oh well.
My name is from my second WoW toon that I made, and the first that I ever put real work into.
I made a Tauren Feral Druid thinking, "Well I want my name to be scary, and I want people to get the impression that I can't ever be stopped... I KNOW!". Having played Starcraft: Brood War, the only name that fit this perfectly, was the Torrasque.
I've been called Torrasque/Torr for the last 3-ish years, and I'm just used to it. Lol, for a while, it was weird whenever someone called me by my real name. But to be fair, I did kind of play WoW a lot =|

About a gazillion years ago I was a player (and admin) in an online forum Transformers RPG called Sparkmasters; it was hosted on a long-dead UK site called The Axalon. The game was built around the concept of Energon-afflicted humans developing the ability to morph into sparks that could merge with a Cybertronian shell, thus effectively becoming Transformers.
My character was a sort of cross between twisted scientist and industrial spy called Karl Braxx, and Sonicron was his Transformer shell; basically it was a Soundwave revamp - I even found and reactivated two of the lost Cassetticons. I also remember my PC spearheading the research into the first Destructicon gestalt team, the Assaulticons.
Ah, the nostalgia...
