Should be fun. Just the announcement threat alone has gotten pretty big. xD

I think it's fair to say that the upcoming episode/episodes of Critical Miss are, shall we say, highly anticipated?

On the one hand I feel kinda like a vulture, circling around a scene of impending doom. On the other hand most of me is thoroughly looking forward to next week. I may even bring nachos.

Oops. <.<
xD I wrote Threat, instead of Thread. Oh well. I guess it's at least a warning to the mods. ;p

Truly though? :) The best thing that could happen is that the thread goes normally and everyone stays cool.

What will actually happen, comes in second to that. xD
Mmmm.....Nachos. :)

A repeat of this, probably:

http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/6.828270-WHITE-GUY-DEFENSE-FORCE-GO

Check out the size of that thread.
And try to count the number of bans in there. There are simply too many to count.
There is exactly... *Ahem*

6 bans, 43 warnings, and 5 of those warnings resulted in suspensions in the original WGDF thread! This is what happens when I have nothing to do on a Friday night. You're all very welcome~

Think it'll be that bad once again?
Are you sure about those numbers? I thought I'd gotten them correct earlier:

http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/jump/6.851341.21044290

The only thing I'm uncertain of is whether I counted 6 bans or 7....

Oh, woe is me if I was wrong!!! -_-

You know what they say: hope for the best, plan for the worst, and always bring snacks.

[sub][sub]Ok, the 'snacks' bit isn't entirely original, but you can't argue with tasty munchables.[/sub][/sub]

Wow. Here I was thinking I'd be the only one who would bother XD I took great care in being accurate, but maybe I was wrong too. I didn't exclude repeat warnings from the same users, and I am sure I missed a suspension warning at some point too. I started doing it about 7 pages in, and I didn't wanna re-read. We're both pretty close though, so, who knows! Unless someone wants to re-do it for us! ... Any takers?

I ran through the entire thread checking off every one I encountered. I counted Bans, Warnings, and Suspensions separately.

The only reason I'm uncertain about the count of the Bans is because I wasn't sure if I counted one Ban before and/or after I hit it to see what the poster had written.

SO...if there ARE any takers [user]Elvis Starburst[/user] and I would sincerely welcome another independent count to ensure that the target numbers are correctly ascertained! ^_^

Neither was Zimmerman for that matter, not classically at least. He was mixed latino/jew.
Zimmerman wasn't Jewish at all. He was a Catholic altar boy.

You can deduce so much about somebody with so little.
The ignorant can believe in their ability to deduce all they want, doesn't mean it's in any way accurate.

You realize that I was, of course, referencing a direct quote, right?
http://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/obama-if-i-had-a-son-hed-look-like-trayvon/2012/03/23/gIQApKPpVS_story.html

One that was relevant, as the original comic had a Zimmerman joke, and the article I posted involved a young, african american male in a hoodie being shot in Florida... you, did put that together right?

If not, let me know, next time I'll be sure in include a flow-chart for you.

OT: The only thing that really drew me into the last were just the sheer amount of ignorance about the Zimmerman/Martin case. This comic, while referencing the last comic, is lacking that. And, since it seems that Cerebrawl has done an admirable job of educating those who have spoken out in this thread, I see little need to retread those posts.

But, I will here remark, however...

I see in your profile that you're French, so there may be some misunderstanding caused by the language barrier, but you really ought to look up the definition of the word "murder".

Zimmerman did not "murder" anybody. What happened was not only a homicide, but it was a justified homicide. Not illegal, not murder.

America has had a long and proud history of Standing its ground. In no way has it ever bin immoral and always justified. I agree with you full heartily.

and the law has always bin applied fairly, and has no racist undertones in any way.

There is zero reason to be upset by the stand your ground law. Its a justified law that protects innocent Americans every day. Any one who disagrees needs to be edumacated.

That's it? Six people (and a number of people who got away with a slap on the wrist)? What the hell is everyone getting so damn excited about then? There's over a 1000 replies (Edit: 1371 to be exact) in that thread , of which only a very small percentage was bad enough to get moderated, doesn't sound that bad in retrospect.
Yeah, I was expecting a lot more than that, honestly. Still was quite a large amount, but a fair share of those warnings were the same users. So... Meh. I can still see the reasons to be excited though. That thread is apparently infamous, and it's not hard to see why

It's good to see that anyone can make a web comic, regardless of the facts of reality.

Now, the Us has done shameful things in its past. You'll never hear me claim otherwise.
However, you'll never convince me that removing Saddam Hussein from power and delivering him before the justice of the an Iraqi courts, for the massacres that still continue to kill to this day, was anything but a good thing. But, what do I know? I only get my information from the most conservative of US media.... France 24 [http://www.france24.com/en/20140501-reporters-Halabja-massacre-kurds-saddam-hussein/].

and the law has always bin applied fairly, and has no racist undertones in any way.
Again, it's good to see that there are those who don't let pesky things like facts get in the way of their making images.

I'm not familiar with the McDonald case, thus can't comment on it. Though, the run down of the Alexander case is misleading at best, delusional at worst. And as for the Zimmerman run down, with "stalked", "murder" and "stand your ground" clearly shows that whoever created the image has no desire to deal with facts.

If anyone believes that the reason for differences in sentencing of the 3 cases is solely because of the races of the accused, then there is no hope for have a conversation based in reality.

I would like to correct one thing about that poster. Minnesota (Where Cece McDonald's crime was committed) Has no stand your ground law. And you may want to read this http://mediatrackers.org/florida/2013/07/16/no-marissa-alexanders-conviction-was-not-a-reverse-trayvon-martin-case-in-florida, for Marissa Alexander. From what I gathered, there are five facts to the case that don't make it exactly the same as Zimmerman's case, and the fact that she lied to the police during questioning, and did the opposite of what they told her to do. Probably didn't help her at all, also the picture is kind of misleading, She didn't fire a warning shot at a wall according to that, she fired it at him, missed, while he was standing next to both his young children. Kind of different, if it is the truth.

But, ya know, sexism, racism, 'murica. Screw facts right.

There IS no discussion other than wild speculation of how trolled the entire internet will be this time.

ie. "Dis gun be gud".
