Scary thing with that Pokemon is the fact there are now PRESCHOOLER trainers that you fight in the newest generation. How are kids THAT young going to see this Pokemon and NOT think it was a snack? At the international Pokemon league offices...someonehairy-ish said:

Personally...I wish to see a mosquito Pokemon. As a man from Minnesota, I find it a travesty to not see the (unofficial) state bird of my state represented. ESPECIALLY since there's been a Bug type attack called Leech Life since Gen 1!

Neither Sandshrew nor Sandslash are technically shrews. Both of them are based on armadillos and pangolins. They have some characteristics of shrews, but for the most part, Sandshrew just happens to have the word "shrew" in his name.KaiKai753 said:

Also, Eevee, Ho-Oh and Alomomola are also palindromes, although Girafarig is the only one to have a palindromic name in both English and Japanese.
The only one I could think of is a bandicoot. The only rabbit Pokemon I know are Buneary and Lopunny.
