Kabuto would be the closest one but it doesn't have the tail so I don't know if you could quite classify it as that, its origins say its based on that and the trilobite

Manectric is a type of wolf. Though granted, it's odd they haven't done a more obvious one.

Actually there's a whole bunch of ancient stuff they haven't done since those're usually reserved for 2-3 fossil pokemon in each generation.

I'd say this looks like a wolf but i can see where you are coming from with the hyena, but it's pre evolution definitely looks like a wolf to me.

Well looking under the origins, Moltres was loosely based on a heron

Hammerhead Shark - Garchomp is pretty close
Wolverine - Typhlosion's origins say its partly based on the wolverine
Koala - N/A (Nothing ye lol)
Cheetah - Jolteon would be pretty close
Panther - Only one close to this would be Liepard, but its more of a leopard
Silverfish - Nothing really comes close to that, yet... Lol

Man. Seriously, there's not one pokemon that resembles a man. Unless you count Ditto that cute pink slime critter who can appear to look like anything it wishes. Not even sure if it has a gender or not at all.

Dude thats exactly what species are. Current estimates are around 8.7 million species. Pokemon haven't even covered every genus, family, order, class or phylum of the kingdom animalia.
