Well. Play in English first, and if the game is the new second coming of Jesus as people say, playing it again in French isn’t a big deal.Decided to nab Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. Probably won't actually be playing it before the weekend, but got a small dilemma to solve first.
How do I play it, in French or English?
Because I prefer playing games in the language appropriate for their ingame setting. And this is supposedly the most French game to ever French. Also, I speak French.
On the other hand, I heard the English voice cast is excellent and while I speak French, it's my third language and my English is plain better i.e. less chance of missing stuff.
It has a prologue that's apparently about an hour longs, so guess I can try both, see which I like better.Well. Play in English first, and if the game is the new second coming of Jesus as people say, playing it again in French isn’t a big deal.
Pat and Woolie are French-Canadian, and both love either dub, but they have a special appreciation for the French dub. This video should have those spoilers, but if they do, feel free to stop. They elaborate more on the dubbing and certain gameplay mechanics. It has a prologue that's apparently about an hour longs, so guess I can try both, see which I like better.
I remember not knowing english and playing some game in French with terrible localization and dubious quality of voice acting, so I have an allergic reaction to playing game in French, so I'll probably play it in english despite french being my first language.Decided to nab Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. Always play the game in the original dub, it's what will have the most money and attention and focus from the original director.Decided to nab Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. Probably won't actually be playing it before the weekend, but got a small dilemma to solve first.

Or, listen to examples from both dubs and see which one you like better.Always play the game in the original dub, it's what will have the most money and attention and focus from the original director.
Honestly, I think most of it was eyerolling at the idea of CoD regressing to World War II as a setting. Basically hating on the single player simply for being a World War II game.COD WW2 - Turner.....no...... I think I will stop playing for tonight. I did about 4 missions.
This game has a lot of variety in the campaign, and each mission mixes it up. You're not always doing the same thing, and even take control of different characters in certain missions, before going back as Daniels. The weakest parts of the campaign are the optional collectibles, and the heroic feats getting annoying and me ignoring the ones where you have to drag a wounded soldier to cover. Because it's a bigger risk and not worth it when trying to keep all of your med kits. The ones where you're saving an ally from being grappled or enemy soldiers surrendering I can do fine. Other than that, I got nothing else at the moment.
@Worgen, why did people hate this game's single player again online? Lootboxes and shitty multiplayer aside. I admit I was apathetic to the game, but had on and off interests on the single player. I was still on my old-school FPS list, and on my the proper return of Japanese gaming playtime, so I ignored the game. WW2 still made record sales, despite all of the loud online hate. Reasonable with the lootboxes and crappy multiplayer, but certain YouTubers had a major hate boner for the campaign like it shot their parents.
I know Sledge did their best to fix everything in the multiplayer and extra modes, and then later removed (?) the lootboxes. They did more than a solid job with the campaign, even though I am not at the end yet. Vindication by history, because a lot of the online hate (not counting those certain streamers back in 2017) changed their opinions after Cold War and the shitty Modern Warfare Reboot Trilogy.
Or for not being World at War's single player, if you're Act Man. He also jumped on the "forced SJW female character" complaint. He can still fuck off for that, and missed the entire point of someone like Camille "Rousseau" Denis. The French did have female soldiers and resistance fighters in WW2. I don't know how something like that is "forced", when Sledge was pulling straight from the history books. This is why I am glad, I never got into many of his videos. I wonder how he feels now, and Act owes a huge apology.Honestly, I think most of it was eyerolling at the idea of CoD regressing to World War II as a setting. Personally I am just sick of ww2 setting, but there were more then a few voices that also parroted that. You also have the usual people who call any new cod game the worst game ever made and those that suffer series fatigue, but I think overall the single player was pretty well received.@Worgen, why did people hate this game's single player again online? Understandable, but at the same time, last WW2 FPS was World At War. That game came out in 2008. After WaW, it was either back to Modern, then Black Ops, and all of the futuristic settings post Black Ops 2. I know Battlefield 1 was a major achievement and something different, but AAA gaming had been without a throwback WW2 FPS for 9 years. That's more than enough of a long break for them.Personally I am just sick of ww2 setting,
Yep.You also have the usual people who call any new cod game the worst game ever made and those that suffer series fatigue,
Indeed was and still is. Professional gaming critics still talk positively about COD WW2, and people not constantly living on social media and YouTube still love the game greatly.I think overall the single player was pretty well received.
As I said, personally I'm sick of ww2. As much as I loved company of heroes I can't even bring myself to get company of heroes 3 cause Im tired of it. Keep in mind, it wasn't just COD that did WW2. You had Battlefield, Wolfenstein, Brothers in Arms, Red Orchastra 2, etc etc.Understandable, but at the same time, last WW2 FPS was World At War. That game came out in 2008. All valid, but we at least had that big nine year break from them. i can only assume you were playing a lot of them in between those times or when they first released. Wolfenstein reinvented it so it was only in WW2 during the beginning chapters of New Order. I know there is Old Blood standalone expansion, but it is meant to be a throwback anyway, and goes heavy on the sci-fi. That came out in 2015, so it was still a nice two year gap before we got another WW2 shooter anyway. You had Battlefield, Wolfenstein, Brothers in Arms, Red Orchastra 2, etc etc.
True, but I've gotten tired of the stories of WW2, I've gotten enough of them and very few of them do new interesting things. All valid, but we at least had that big nine year break from them. i can only assume you were playing a lot of them in between those times or when they first released.
