What brought you to the Escapist?

I came here after watching ZP on Youtube. Then I discovered Apocalypse Lane and watched that for awhile. During my time watching AL I began browsing the forums and discovered that the community wasn't filled with (that many) idiots and trolls. So I decided to join.

I followed Yahtzee on youtube, so, when he moved over I did too...

Actually, I found E through the PurePwnage parody of Zero Punctuation, lovingly titled Zero Coordination. After watching it and laughing myself to the floor I forgot about it, only to months later, remember it, search for it, and find Yahtzee and his all knowing light.

I've since stayed for LRR, the other video series and reviewers, the forums, and the general escapism of this epic site.

Probably Zero Punctuation. I can't remember how I heard about it, but I must have seen it online somewhere. Maybe while I was waiting for a game and looking up reviews?

My join date implies that Batman: Arkham Asylum might have been the first review I saw, but, I don't know, I assume I was watching Zero Punctuation for a while before I joined.

I was googling to find the bioshock website to see the new stuff, found ZP, and Started watching, then a long time after that, I just decided to join.

I forget which ZP it was, but my friends introduced me to him, and I started to watch them on my own. Then one day I saw a thread for IGN's top 10 of the decade list, and wanted to weigh my thoughts on the thread. After about 10 posts and such I started branching off into other threads.

ZP brought me to the escapist, but it was someone brining IGN's top 10 of the decade list for debate to the boards that made me an "official" member

I wouldn't have even bothered with this site if the articles weren't as interesting as they are and the community sucked. And, yes, Zp brought me here.

Like many others, I came here for Zero Punctuation, and signed up because I wanted to do a quiz. I think it was the one regarding what kind of gamer you were. I didn't start posting on the forums until a month or so later, but I did read a few of the articles, and found them pretty interesting. I forget which ZP I watched first. I don't even remember a time in my life when I didn't watch ZP, although I suppose there must've been a stage when I didn't.

ZP. *Gasp!* I know, I know, surprising. But to be more specific I think it was the Burnout Paradise episode that brought me here. It had been shown on X-Play and after watching it on Youtube, I happened upon The Escapist. I keep watching ZP episodes until me and a friend decided to check out Unskippable. Which lead to Unforgotten Realms, which lead to Apocalypse Lane, which lead to Doraleous and Associates, which lead to Stolen Pixels, which is about the point that I found the forums, which lead to me creating a profile, which lead to this point right now. So yeah, that's how I was brought to the Escapist.

Well, I came here around the same time Yahtzee came here, I was linked quite a while ago to one of his youtube videos, I think it was his second one, and when he went here I followed. Never had really the inclination of registering here, but since LoadingReadyRun also showed up here I thought I might as well.

My friend told me to check out Zero Punctuation. I did, and I kept coming back for more. I noticed the forums and lurked for the better part of 2-3 years. Procrastination was, and still is, one of my strong suits. In fact, it was in 2007-2008, which means I procrastinated joining for almost 3 years, maybe more. If I had joined back then, I'd be ancient now.

And I got to the forums because I saw interesting moral choices in the small forum balk to the left of the ZP videos.

ZP can't remember which one but had started watching back of the end of 07. Oh yeah and Kung Fu Grip video The Final Final Fantasy by The Fine Bros., which is no more dammit!

Having a bad day and my ex sent me the link to ZP for Mercenaries 2. Never laughed so hard in my life. Have been checking back since, but only just decided to get more involved and register.
