What characters would you replace in Marvel vs Capcom 3?

Marvel vs Capcom 3 is almost here. I know there's another thread discussing the characters but I wanted something more specific. What characters would you replace if you could? Including the two day one DLC chars. (Day 1 DLC is lame btw) A list of all of the characters can be found here [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marvel_vs._Capcom_3:_Fate_of_Two_Worlds#Playable_characters].

There are a few rules though.

1. You can't add characters, only replace them. To add one in, you must remove one.
2. Adding a Marvel characater means you must remove a Marvel character, and the same goes for Capcom. This is to keep the numbers even for both sides.
3. Please please give reasons.

Okay, I'll start it off.


Marvel

Replace She-Hulk with Rogue (or maybe Psylocke). I know she has a different move-set than the Hulk, be she still not different or interesting enough for me. I'd much rather have one of these other X-Women.

Replace X-23 with Gambit. Another character that's too similar. (According to the comics she's clone of Wolverine). Gambit is much more interesting.


Capcom

Replace Chris with Guile. 3 RE characters and only 4 SF characters seems off to me. I'd much rather have Guile. It's not so much that Chris looks bad, it's more so that someone has to get the ax for Guile to join the party.

Replace Akuma with Blanka. Akuma's cool and all, but too similar to Ryu. Think of how much more diverse it would be to have Blanka in there.

Probably what you've said, plus Cable instead of Dormammu. But it'd probably be too much like number 2.

Replace X-23 (though I like calling her "Talon" better) with Rogue. This would be the Rogue from when she absorbed Ms. Marvel's powers, so it would be strength, energy blasts, and flight, along with her usual life-draining touch.

I also don't like Trish, so how about replacing her with Chuck Green from Dead Rising?

I haven't played it yet, waiting for it to be delivered, but the videos online make x-23 look pretty cool. How about M.O.D.O.K. instead? But then again, for Gambit it would be worth it.

I would probably replace one of the darkstalkers characters with ken. 3 female Darkstalkers characters seems too many, and Ryu without Ken is a crime against nature!

Do you really need Ken and Ryu? They are the same, the difference is too small to make scene to have both.

Replace Felicia with FRANK GODDAMN WEST!!! (There are 3 Darkstalkers characters, one can be dropped.)
Replace Trish with Zangief (for the Haggar V Zangief fight everyone wants and because I think Dante's the only rep DMC needs.)
Replace Hsien-Ko with Megaman (Come one, it's Megaman and once again, 3 Darkstalkers characters.)

Replace Taskmaster with Venom

The Marvel roster's OK apart from not having Venom... and I like Venom

I'm not talking about playability, more character recognition. She looked like she played well in the trailers, I just feel they made odd choices with female characters, which is due to neither marvel or capcom having many females.

Okay, I'll admit that a number of these are actually decent characters to put into a VS fighting game. But I'd still move some around.

CAPCOM!

I'd remove the Darkstalker characters and Tron Bonne, because I just don't like either of these, and replace 'em with Megaman X, Sigma, and fricking Dr. Wily in one of his wicked death machines. Oh wait, there appears to be another spot open 'cause I eliminated four people. Well, Dante's looking lonely, so let's pack Vergil in there, the other son of Sparda!

MARVEL!

MODOK? Taskmaster? *Guffaw* Get rid of 'em. Especially Taskmaster. He was trumped by Deadpool being Deadpool, for crying out loud. Replace them with The Punisher and Sabertooth, who are more popular and more relevent to the rest of the characters.

replace tron bonne with chuck greene, spencer can peace in favor of frank west, hsien ko can gtfo for mega man, c viper for any other street fighter.

You (not you specifically, but many so far on the thread) complain about 3 Darkstalkers characters when you're adding a FIFTH (and in some cases, sixth) Street Fighter? I don't know about y'all, but I'm ok with just the four that are in (Ryu, Chun-Li, Akuma, and C. Viper.)

Honestly, I don't need another Street Fighter character, and personally I thought Akuma was one too many. Use Akuma to REPLACE Ryu, not clone him (again) at the expense of MegaMan... geez Capcom! *powerful facepalm* ... *wakes up 10 minutes later* /rage

OT: As if nobody could guess, I'd say replace either Ryu or Akuma with a Megaman (one of the blue ones, we already have Zero). Probably Ryu because he's the weaker version anyway, and probably X because they haven't used him yet and I think mechanically it would be the most interesting version (seriously wtf, Volnutt? no, no... no more ranting...).

Come to think of it, we can replace C. Viper with Captain Commando (with a significantly expanded move list, of course) without loosing too much. But I actually kind of like C. Viper, so... whatever.

I'd also like to replace Wesker with Strider Hiryu. Their gameplay styles seem oddly similar, at least from an outsider's perspective (although MvC3 seems to need lots of bad guys this round, and I'm ok with that). Actually, I want to replace Wesker with Nightcrawler, but that's against the rules, and it'd be adding another X-Man... so no. It was a tough call for who to drop for Strider, but Wesker is the only one with similar enough playstyle so game balance (ha!) wouldn't be thrown off too badly.

I would like MODOK replaced with another Marvel character of moral ambiguity (so he/she can fill in as a hero or a villain... or maybe just another villain) and who also can play a keepaway game. I lack significant nerd points to pick one that fits perfectly, so I'll just toss Gambit's name in there (although we have too many X-Men already)... or maybe Doctor Strange.

I think She-Hulk could be replaced, but (like my above comment) I can't think of any strong, female, martial arts/wrestling styled characters to replace her with from the Marvel universe. And yes, it has to be that specific, because she really does have a unique-looking playstyle niche (in spite of being a relatively bland character, in my opinion). Rogue just can't fill that role, as awesome as she is (plus I think we still have too many X-Men). Maybe Spider-Woman, Ms. Marvel, Black Cat, or Black Widow... (any of whom could also replace X-23 as far as I'm concerned, but I guess she's unique enough in the game to get a pass this time...)

Replace Sentinel with Cable. Seriously Capcom, if you're going to put in an older "Godly-tier" character with absolutely no change (and actually some additions to make it even more powerful) you could at least make it one I can actually use. heh

I'd Replace Zero with B.B. Hood, since that was the only fighter I was really good with in MvC2...

Also, I would replace Trish with Princess Devilot... cause why the hell not?

I'd replace Sentinel (fuck Sentinel) with Gambit or Carnage (I think he'd be pretty cool if they made him significantly different than Spider Man) as far as Marvel characters go. I just think Sentinel is going to OP no matter what and Gambit is pretty cool.

Wouldn't mind seeing Phoenix Wright or the original Mega Man in there either. Or Frank West for that matter. :C Don't know who to replace though, I think the Capcom side is pretty good, don't know who Tron Bonne is though.

I think X-23 is pretty cool though, she plays way different than Wolverine.

EDIT:Chris for Franziska Von Karma... If we must have a Phoenix Wright Character in the game, for release the only one who actually beat people up....

EDIT2:I replace the the characters I actually don't like for ones I think it be interessing to see in a vs game...

I'd replace Phoenix with the Wright one.

...Yeah, I just wanted to make a pun.

I'd take out any Capcom character (except for Chris and Wesker), and throw Jill Valentine back in. Then I could make a S.T.A.R.S. team! ^_^

EDIT: Although, having Nemesis in the game would be pretty freaking cool too...
