Blink Dogs are not lycanthropes, they're pack hounds that can teleport. Elves sometimes domesticate them since they're slightly more intelligent than mundane dogs.

Even if they are not werewolves, I figured them to be similar to one because of their body structure as well as the setting (fog, along with their body mass). Then again, I really don't know the Classic D&D version of these creatures so I am wrong pretty much. That- and it's called a Blink Dog so I figured it wasn't a werewolf Haha. Just would be happy to think of it as one.

'Slightly more' makes me mad. In the older editions, Blink Dogs were as intelligent as people and could even talk. That's right, talking teleporting pack hunters.
