What D&D Character Do You Play As?

Bad Dice Luck?.

Man I hate those! In our group we have "The sexist dice of low rolling"

A set of gray dice that roll painfully low for males but quite decent for females.

I'm also lucky to have a set of "DM Dice of Death" which rolls quite well when I am DMing but not so great when I am playing.

I usually play God since I'm almost always the DM. Those few moments when I get to create and run just one character usually result in any class that gets me a lot of skill points to spend. Skills are always more reliable than spells, though I'm currently a wizard in a campaign (go figure). Rangers and rogues in 3.x edition D&D were some of my favorites, but I'm also partial to paladins.

At the moment, I don't play as anything, since I'm the DM. However, when I do get to play, it's usually as a Ranger. Although I'd like to give a Bard a try.

Seems I'm in the same boat as you. I play the DM right now, but I love Rangers.

Right Now I'm a Warforged Druid named "Trunk" I almost always play as Druid/Ranger/Barbarian/Shaman type stuff. Maybe it's too many Conan comics seeping into my roleplaying?

I mostly played a sword-wielding mercenary.
Once, I played a dark mage / necromancer.

Note that I did not actually play D&D but a German P&P-RPG.
Haven't played any futuristic P&Ps yet.

basically, a monk that attacks an ungodly number of times with exploding fiery fists.

Ranger or Bard in 3.5. I never got all the Bard hatred in 3.5, in 3e they were pretty on the edge, but, the 3.5 ones were a fairly competent class.

I still haven't gotten into 4e.

I tend to go with whatever the party needs at the time, though I'd started favoring the expert role last time I was playing (Rogue, Scout, and Spellthief in particular). I have to admit a fondness for Warlocks and Paladins, though.

I haven't had the chance to play 4ed, yet, but I'd really like to try an Invoker. I even have a Pulp Fiction quote ready for it...

Partly because it fits my personality and partly because I'm a coward who prefers the safety of a fire wall and a meat shi- i mean fighter- blocking the way while I zap them 'till they scream, I choose wizard. Right now I?m a Half-Elf Sorcerer who has the ?wild magic? build. I made his wisdom quite low. He has delusions that ?they? are ?after him.? For example we are waylayed on our journey by dire bears. Where I can't use a prestige class I tend to go for a warrior. Yeah, I'm not noted for my imagination when it comes to picking classes.
