Let's just look down the list, shall we?
Does it do anything for those interested in Television or Movies?
Absolutely not. It does nothing that a television can't already do on its own and serves as an over-priced dvd/blueray player.
Does it do anything for gamers?
Spec wise, upon release it will be comparable performance wise to an equally priced gaming rig, but I'll give it the benefit of a doubt and say that it is slightly better than an equally priced gaming rig performance wise. That advantage is only a short-term benefit, since gaming rigs will outmatch it in just one or two years. They have not promised any exclusive games and they've indirectly stated that they are out to end the used game industry. Indie developers will have to try twice as hard to get any of their games on the xbox marketplace due to a lack of development tools. My conclusion here is, unless they surprise us with a line of really amazing xbox one exclusive games, it doesn't offer anything that a gamer couldn't get elsewhere.
On the part about exclusive games, past experience with the current generation of consoles has indicated to me that the game industry got a lobotomy. They're destroying the console market by putting so many games up across all consoles and PC. The desire to reap the most profit is devaluating the console, since exclusive games are what made consoles "the thing" back in the 90's and early 2000's. I just don't see Microsoft going out of its way to ensure exclusive games get made for their console, since they're treating their xbox line as an extension of the PC market at this point.
