I am a research scientist, working with parasitoid wasps. I love it, though it generally means a lot of hard work and very little time to game. On my first play through of Plantscape Torment while I do work in the greenhouse though

This has been an exciting year for me because I started a software development company with a friend of mine, and we are currently developing our first game for the iPhone/iPad. We both have full time jobs (I work the graveyard shift at a hotel), and so we work on the game during our free time.
So, while I haven't made a penny from it (yet), it has been the best job I've ever had. We will hopefully release it in a month or so. Watch out, Angry Birds. I hope I have my fellow Escapist's support when the game arrives!!

I print t-shirts... I say t-shirts, but we can print on pretty much anything as long as it will allow for the pre-treatment to be applied. It's digital direct to garment printing. Apparantly it's pretty new in the UK and we actually have American machines (T-Jet Blazer Pro 3), I know the're American because they keep breaking. Photo quality prints on tshirts, you can't get that with screen printing.
I currently work at McDonald's. Out back in the kitchen mainly. Eventually I will be finding a new job seeing as I need to have 800 hours of practical work experience for my BE in computer systems.
Once I graduate I should be hauling it in whilst doing what I love. The average starting pay for engineering grads from my university is the same as what most secondary school teachers retire on.

I don't have a job and I'm heading to Uni this year.
To get a job around where I live you need experience, and to get experience you need a job.
It's a vicious circle that I unfortunately didn't jump into when I was younger, so I can't get a job now because everyone else has 2-3 more years of experience behind them.

Sysadmin for the research branch of a state government department. I maintain around 25 servers, the local network and it's links to head office, as well as the scientists' computers and some of their field equipment, and the office staff's computers. It's kinda fun, and pays fairly well.
I study at the moment.
But I worked in a Night club for 3 years before that and now I'm a part time Doorman during the weekends.
