I'm just a trainee soccer referee. I don't get paid much, but I guess I'm only in high school, so all is good. :)

just out of curiosity, those who have one

oh and I have been succesful! I just got me a job in a nice office! (feel a little guilty as perhaps other guy deserved it more) but yay!!!!! Ive been waiting all day for the call!!
I hate you.

I do flooring. It's hard, tiring, inconsistent, unstable, I don't like my boss, and has low pay. I've been trying to get another job for 2 years and have only managed to get 2 interviews at Costco and Target :/

BTW thanks OP you reminded me I have more applications to send out.
Im sorry to hear that

anyway I guess times are tough, you just gotta hang in there (I know, real nice adive coming from me)

but yeah I wish you all the best
Thank you :D

Also it wasn't real hate, more of the silly kind where I'm really just jealous.

edit: If I can drop another 25 pounds I can join the military so if I can't get a job I can do that(been planning on joining for some time anyway).

Baking is fun :3 I assist my GF when she bakes and could very well end up working with her once she has a shop established...after school...in several years...*sigh* I feel like a failure at the moment but I'm still only 23...the 'late bloomer' thing may still apply to me

If it means anything, you're not alone. I am 26, and lost my job not too long ago (redundancy) and I have been really struggling to get anything. Still, there's a whole lotta life left to earn our millions!

It's not the most aspiring place to be, but if nothing else, it is not just you... there are plenty of people out there who are feeling the same.

I'm a commercial artist at a contractor/builder. I draw the pretty pictures to convince our customers to let us build their offices and schools and stuff.

I am a research scientist, working with parasitoid wasps. I love it, though it generally means a lot of hard work and very little time to game. On my first play through of Plantscape Torment while I do work in the greenhouse though ;)

I also proofread medical journals for a company in Korea...

I work as a Road Crash Rescuer, which is an extremely fun but annoying job.
Doing the work is fine, but dealing with the people in the cars is not, that and getting a callout at 0300 in the morning after pulling an 18 hour shift really REALLY sucks

This has been an exciting year for me because I started a software development company with a friend of mine, and we are currently developing our first game for the iPhone/iPad. We both have full time jobs (I work the graveyard shift at a hotel), and so we work on the game during our free time.

So, while I haven't made a penny from it (yet), it has been the best job I've ever had. We will hopefully release it in a month or so. Watch out, Angry Birds. I hope I have my fellow Escapist's support when the game arrives!!

I print t-shirts... I say t-shirts, but we can print on pretty much anything as long as it will allow for the pre-treatment to be applied. It's digital direct to garment printing. Apparantly it's pretty new in the UK and we actually have American machines (T-Jet Blazer Pro 3), I know the're American because they keep breaking. Photo quality prints on tshirts, you can't get that with screen printing.

Yeah, programming does tend to come with a certain level of frustration... but for some people it can be terribad :p.
I enjoy solving things and having something that I can say... I made that :).

I currently work at McDonald's. Out back in the kitchen mainly. Eventually I will be finding a new job seeing as I need to have 800 hours of practical work experience for my BE in computer systems.

Once I graduate I should be hauling it in whilst doing what I love. The average starting pay for engineering grads from my university is the same as what most secondary school teachers retire on.
