Not a problem in Victoria, its about 50% white, 30% asian, and 20% other, so race doesn't come up too much, at least in my experience.

Even though we're one of the richest contries, and we pay minimum 40% in taxes. (The rich pays up to 60%)
We still have minus in our budget, because of extremely dumb decisions made by the army, and other public servies. (They bought new helicopters, and planes for a billion dollars, which wasn't the plan at all)

Were did all the freaking tax money go dumb ****'s.

Everyone here's a complete asshole...
Bit of a over the top stereotyping there, I'd say from my travels that our quota of assholes is pretty similar to the rest of the Western world.

The thing that leaps to mind about New Zealand is our monopoly controlled ass of an internet service. I'm amazed to see Canadians worried about their data limits being reduced, you guys don't know how good you have it! The standard connection package here is $50 for 10GB! I'm on a 5GB cap! We only have one cable across to the US, and its old and overloaded, until someone invests another billion dollars its unlikely to improve.
This.

And the fact that the majority if Kiwis have the "she'll be right" attitude until something entirely foreseeable and preventable goes horribly wrong, then it becomes the absolute fucking over-the-top-baby-bathwater-nannystate-kneejerk overreaction from Nam.

That, and the cheapest 20 pack you can buy is over 10$. 50c a smoke.
I gotta quit.

The least you can get away with paying in Denmark is 40% of your income, and thats minimum (the max is 60%) so you have nothing to complain about. =X

America...

While Democracy is good for the people, we can't get anything due to lack of bi-partisanship. I guess what I hate most is almost every politician in DC. It takes a special kind of asshole to go there and think they can make a difference by talking to a room full of arrogant, unwavering fools all day.

Sweden.
The fact that we voted a racist/nationalistic party into a position of power.
How fear of being connected to said party makes criticism of organized religion (or rather, if Islam is brought up as an example) something forbidden.

I also loathe the current government, but compared to nationalism it's been downgraded from hate

We've got all sorts of psychopaths and our politicians still blame video games and TV for violence.

Also, my country tries to teach blind nationalism from a young age.

In Australia? THIS FUCKING YEARLY HEATWAVE. Apart from the fact that my school chooses a period of time in which 40+ degree days are commonplace to run compulsory sporting events, just keeping our poor ferret cool is proving a vastly difficult task.

Oh, and our treatment of refugees. And lack of R rating for videogames. And the rampant homophobia.
Our expensive games, our delayed game releases/poor old game availability (if it isn't on Ebay or in EB games, you ain't getting the PAL Shadow of the Colossus), our government's love affair with America, our lack of Retro arcades.

I'll add more as I think of it.

- Having gloomy weather 70% of the year.
- The widespread depresssion and general downbeat attitude.
-The whininess of it's people
- The taxes
-The newfangled racism and immigration problems.

Other than that it's pretty good.

What the hell is with the government? Honestly, it's like they're a separate nation that lords over the real Australia. Major disconnect...they're not real Australians at all. Also they're absolutely horrible at keeping up with the rest of the world (hell, they're going backwards).

The handy 200-500% mark-up on all prices, and the complaints that people are shopping overseas to get around it. These companies have spent too long with no competition, and they're doing everything they can to get that advantage back. F**k this economy!

Also the heat. My God, the heat!

I hate the amount of ungrateful fucktards who don't appreciate what they've been given in life by simply being born in one of the top #5 countries in the world in all measurements of education, healthcare, political environment, economic dynamism, environmental concern, and all the other happy dwarves.
And instead opt to spend their days bitching and moaning about the weather like spoiled little children.

Grow a sack, and pick up a large carton of dignity next time you're in the store, because apparently you're all out.

I hate how full of morons America is. Just watch any sort of curve when it's snowy. I also hate the management. It's all bipartisan bickering, bullshit, lobbies, and secretly it's all run by the corporations. Shut the fuck up and run the country, will ya?

Lax gun laws (Seriously, you don't need an Ak-47 with an extended magazine to protect yourself)
No, but we don't need big, throaty V8s either. But I don't see you clamoring for a ban on big blocks...

A Glock will do fine for home defense, but that doesn't mean we can't own a Kalashnakov we only shoot at a range because we enjoy shooting it. Guns are as much a hobby as stamp collecting and RC.
First off, I forgot to put down the lack of progress on alternative fuel, thanks for the reminder. Why though would you collect guns? They are weapons with the sole purpose of killing, not hanging in a cabinet. Why can't people collect other things like stamps or RC's?
That argument could just as easily go both ways. Why collect stamps? They were invented for proof of having being posted. Besides, stamps aren't cool... guns are! :D

Pretty much ditto what everybody else has said. Everything that isn't made here is waaaaay overpriced for how much it costs to import for yourself, government continuing to try and treat everybody like children (Internet censorship in a free country? Gimme a goddamn break.)

...The Nanny State. I can understand why my tax money is spent on the military or education, but why am I paying to have messages on the telly saying "Eat no more than a few grams of salt a day"? Or a bunch of plasticine stick figures eating fruit? I'll eat whatever I fucking well like, thanks.

Same as how you can't smoke in pubs- I don't smoke, but what was wrong with the usual house rules? If another customer asks you to put it out, do so or feel the landlord's wrath. Is it so vastly different in the cities, do you get stabbed or something?
