Straight Torched Cherry Bacardi Rum. Shit is fucking fantastic. Like Rum in general, espceially the cherry with either Mountain Dew or Coke.

lately it has been straight Vodka, because nothing else tastes right, and I like a good slap in the face and a burn in the throat. God Bless Mother Russia, and the 1/4 Russian in me.

For beer, Guinness. I can barely drink any other beer, except ones that taste very similarly to Guinness. For shots, I can drink most (it's shots after all, just "down it goes"), but I do prefer Minttu or Jägermeister. For drinks.. I don't really do that much, but White Russian is like candy to me (for better or worse :p)

I'm probably one of the VERY few 18-year olds that hates alcohol. ANY. Beer? UGH the smell. Vodka? GAH MY THROAT! The closest thing to tolerating beverages is eggnog, and even that in very low concentrations. VERY low. Last time my parents went to my cousin's bakery during holidays, they bought their trademarked donuts with eggnog. I ate half. One half of one donut. Almost threw up anyway.
I think to some, alcohol is actually an acquired taste. I really hated any type of beer at first, but then I came to like Guinness, then beers similar to Guinness, and you start getting less picky. Vodka I can admit I don't like that much (except in White Russian, but the milk and the Kahlua pretty much "takes over).

I guess the thing to consider is whether you actually WANT to acquire the liking for it.

Vodka or whiskey with nothing else. Tastes like shit, and I fucking love it.
Probly bad for me though :/ (that's why I never ever drink on my own - don't want to go alcoholic)

I also like a good beer.

Only the blood of innocents and the tears of puppies...wait..alcohol?

I really like Midori (sweet melon spirit) it goes nicely with lemonade.

Failing that I'm a white rum man because white rum + vimto = amazing.

"Do you like wine, beer, or vodka?" That's like asking "Do you prefer aftershave, drain cleaner or turpentine?"

I'm alcohol intolerant.

I drink a bovine fermented plant mix, known in some circles as milk.

Seriously, I can't stand the taste of alcohol.
Do you two mean to sound so condescending and smart-arsed or is that just how you always talk.

Of course, the same could be said for half the people in this thread.

I usually start off with a couple of pints of lager (preferably becks) and then move onto vodka with lemonade.

Vodka, rum, and various flavors of schnapps are my poisons of choice. I'll drink a beer if I'm eating super spicy food. I've tried a few beers, but I haven't been a big fan of most.
Gotta say, I'm a sucker for girly mixed drinks.

I don't really drink alcohol, because I don't like the taste of the first few drinks. After a few drinks they start tasting better and better though! So I only drink when going out to party with my regular friends. For a really over the top party I prefer something more... ehm... compact.

I'm a bit of an alkie. I usually keep a bottle of cheap vodka on hand at home for mixing with energy drinks or juice or what have you. I used to drink Joose rather frequently until they took the caffeine out of it. That was just silly. Before that it was sparks.

At the bar I usually get gin and tonic. Sapphire is the best that I have had so far but a bit pricey so I usually go with Tanqueray. I used to do Jack and coke frequently as well but I just can't stomach it like I used to. When I first started drinking I was partial to the Adios but I actually haven't had one in quite some time.

I do not care much for beer and usually only drink darker beers like Guinness, Newcastle, or Sapporo. Black Velvet is fun, its a combination of Guinness and champagne. I've only had it with cheap champagne though, I'm not sure I would put up the cash for a good champagne just to mix it with Guinness. Of course if you have some cheap barely drinkable champagne about it'll probably make it better.

I prefer red wines though champagne isn't bad I suppose. I haven't drank much wine in a while now. I used to be able to drink just about any old cheap ozzie stuff but it tends to give me headaches nowadays.

Cider is great but I don't care for many brands. Hornsbys amber is my favourite. It used to be Hardcore Black but I can't find the Hardcore brand anymore. Wyders is just too expensive for not being all that great. Woodchuck is good but its just too much like straight apple juice. For those of you who do not like the taste of booze but would like to find some you like try out some cider, particularly Woodchuck. And for those of you who like cider try some fruit lambic.

And a bit of "Ciderpunk" from my current favourite band.

lager usually, sometimes vodka+diet coke (normal coke is too sweet), red wine on the odd occasion or if out for a meal, daiquiris are good
