First name, Andrew, means manly or courageous, but my last name originates from gryźć, which is Polish meaning "to bite."

Oskar = Asgeir = Asaspjut, which translated into English would mean something along the lines of "The spear of the gods". (Norse gods...)

Donald means World Ruler, I love my name soo much!!
I have an English name, that is a variant of the Hebrew Jacob, which means One who supplants. Oddly enough my last name's Hebrew root means "God who is my lord". So yeah there you go. My middle name also means "Godlike"

Who wants World Ruler when you can be the one who supplants god?

Yotam, though it sort of means "full god" in bibilic hebrew, it's accualy after the biblic character, Yotam the judge.

From Wikipedia:
Frank, pronounced /fræŋk/ (frangk), is a masculine given name. Originally it refers to a Germanic people, the Franks, who derived their tribal name from the type of javelin they used. It means "free Man" in Latin. In English, 'frank' also has the meaning of sincere or truthful.

Not too shabby!

My first name is Peter, although it is derived of the Saint of the same name (that chap with the doomsday book at the pearly gates) it's from the greek work Petros, which was translated for aramaic kepha, which means rock. It's fitting, emotionally and physically I'm a fairly sturdy chap, so I guess the rock reference works. I can also be rather stubborn, which, although most people think donkeys, can also go for rock.

My parents told me that my first and middle names (Bryn and Conor) meant "Hill" and "King", ie: "King of the Hill" in Welsh. But the internet says Conor/Connor has more to do with being a "lover of dogs", so uh, yeah, I guess I go up on the hill and I.. love some dogs? Damn.

First name: Ryan, meaning Little King
Last name: Nelson, meaning son of Nell. In my case, it's a mis-writing that dates back to when my family came from Ireland. Originally, it was Neilson which was a Gaelic perfection of Niall. Through genetic testing and family tree plotting, my family has determined that the Niall in question is Niall of the Nine Hostages, once the High King of Ireland. I'm directly descended from that guy...pretty cool, right?
