Asterix and Obelix XXL. I love the Asterix comics and this was the only Asterix game I truely enjoyed. A new one with a new story line and availability on PC would be awesome.

Also the Robot Wars game that was epic. Some new robots and parts plus again PC compatibility, I'd buy that before most games these days.

Please, pretty please? The public needs to be reminded what really happens when you throw vampires into sunlight and the joys of convoluted plots served with ambiguously British accents.
To which I can only reply:

If you mean like an HD re-release then The Legacy of Kain series.

If you mean an actual new game, then The Legacy of Kain series.

Also, I know it was mentioned in one of the first replies already, but just to be perfectly clear...

Just look into those eyes...

PS: Also SHODAN > GLaDOS

Come on, Lucasarts! We're all waiting! Stop giving us crap, and (re)make the game that we REALLY want!
It is perhaps impossible to overstate how much I agree with this. X-wing, TIE-fighter - bring 'em both back!

On a different tack I would also nominate Realms of Arkania (specifically Blade of Destiny) for a bit of a dust off.

Hm, I know I cast my vote already but I just like to add that TIE Fighter remake/sequel would be most welcome as well.

...and one last final thing, a remake of Severance: Blade of Darkness, yes please.

Legend of Dragoon. Almost purely because I'm playing it now and I love it but my god the scripting has terrible flow and questionable punctuation.

I'll also take a remake of Final Fantasy 9 quite happily.

There needs to be a graphically revamped version of the Legacy of Kain series. Like, right now. Leave in all of the original voice-acting, it's beyond excellent as it is, but I want some shiny new HD graphics to go with it... any maybe iron out some of the gameplay kinks while we're at it.

Homeworld.. I think we havent had a 3D Spacefighter RTS that is not set in Starwars (And is build around fast-phased RTS) in a long time.

I'm still waiting for Resident Evil 2 and 3 to get the RE 1 treatment *Grumble Grumble*
Same here man, same here. But it seems parts 4 and 5 have thrown a wrench in the works. "Over the shoulder" is apparently the future, as is hectic, action-oriented gameplay instead of the traditional survival horror. It's the same "mass-appeal" philosophy you see in the whole industry these days. "Classic-style" RE is a now a niche, i.e. not profitable enough.

terranigma.

but thats not likely to happen. And even if its done it would get screwed. Just thinking of that game, makes the last song get stuck in my head.

Captive (Mindscape 1990, Antony Crowther) Amiga/ST/PC

Cappo, is basically a futuristic Dungeon Master clone, or dungeon crawler if you like. It had lots of neat technical touches, like buying 'apps' for your squad of droids, interchangeable body parts, tons of enemies, and a practically infinite game world. It's my all time favorite game, I spent whole summers playing it. It was made back when games could be created by 1 person, even though it's massive, it uses a clever level generation technique to squeeze it all into a 512k computer.

The creator has said that he doesn't want anyone remaking or doing anything with Captive... I can always hope that an iOS version appears. There is a cool looking 3D version of Dungeon Master in the works, I guess I should give that a try.

I'd like a Blade Runner (1997) remake, it has some sandbox feeling (but it wasn't). I remember liking that game a lot.

SMT 1/2 both had excellent stories and were never released outside japan. However they could only be more user unfriendly if every time you moved a bear tried to claw your face off in real life. So give them the Strange Journey treatment and your looking at a pair of pretty kick ass games.

Syndicate, although drop the rubbish isometric RTS elements and make it a 1st person shooter!
