Bought Black Ops for PC on the basis that my PC had been able to run MW2 at high graphics level... what a mistake that was, runs like shit on my PC, so slow it just ruins the game..

time for a new PC me thinks..

For me, it was "Brutal legend" which was upsetting as I love "Psychonauts" but Jack Black got on my nerves really early on and as a result, I gave it to my brother.

what games do you regret paying for? mine are CoD 4 and 6, so i shared what games i regret buying you turn. (if you can say why you regret buying it please share)
Mercenaries: World in Flames and Armored Core 4. The former was a total piece of crap that ruined all the things I liked about it's predecessor, and the latter had terrible controls that made the game very hard to play (to many things to do and too few usable fingers to do them with!)

My friends bought Mass Effect. We all went to her house to play. We even kept at it for awhile. But eventually we just turned it off. We were expecting an action shooter game. What we got was ungodly boring, with a side helping of awful vehicle controls.

Disliking Call of Duty is becoming almost as trendy as liking it.

Purchase that I regret the most? Probably Bad Company.

Mirrors Edge... The only game I've ever regretted buying, and I got it for 15 bucks. That's gotta mean something.

Well a thread I feel familiar with.
First of, on the console front I bought:
Super Street Fighter 4 (The controls are a total mess, it took me like an hour to do a normal hadouken).
Infamous (just didn't like it, even thou I was looking forward to the game).
Demons Soul's (The game is actually a blast to play, but it isn't an easy drop-in-drop-out game. It will occupy A LOT of your time!)

Now onto steam, and all your got damn good cheap prices:
Sniper Elite (only for VERY patient people, but still a lot of fun).
Torchlight (a uninteresting game, with not a whole lot new to the RPG/diablo genre).
Elder Scroll 4: Oblivion (didn't tell me were to go, or what to do, and the environment looked ugly as Hell).

BTW: First post on The Escapist. :)

Every COD and Halo game - And i did buy them, just to see what theyre like so i can make educated criticisms.

Luckily, i get 7 day return policies.
meh i agree with CoD but Halo!! are you mad!!! mind you reach was pretty rubbish.
Ugh... the Last Halo I played that was actually good was Halo 2!

Why?! Because you could freaking Wield 2 Needlers Damnit!! That was the stuff that made pros rage quit XD

It was hilarious

I regret buy GTA IV. Played it online twice and single player for like a day and I just got sick of it. I also bought GRAW 2 for the PC and never got past the second level. It is punishingly hard and I cannot for the life of my figure out the controls. I also regret buying Blur. It was fun at first but then it just became downright frustrating.
