I learned that when my cat seems to attack things he goes into full red panda mode...flailing his arms around like a lunatic standing on his hind legs only to fall over sideways...

I also learned that adding bacon to the hamburger meat when your going to make cheeseburgers is an awesome idea..

I learned that given the chance, old people will be more than happy to attempt murder with their vehicle.

Seriously, on the way back to work from lunch I was nearly t-boned by not one, but TWO old people at two different intersections who had apparently decided that stop-signs no longer applied to them.

Today, I learned that "Acheson" is a location, not a business.

This is embarrassing, because the company I work for was trying to get me to go to a company in Acheson, and this caused me to say something really hilarious.

Today I learned that, in addition to hiring third parties to construct displays for product, at least some stores also have said third parties replace the demo software they use for display models of computers/tablets they stock normally. Also, said display models SUCK SO HARD (except for asus products. they apparently are just always awesome).

Also, apparently someone did a kazoo cover of most of the Metal Gear Rising soundtrack. It's actually not half bad, but funny as hell all the same.

I finished learning about the details of the 1930 London Naval Conference and its impact on the five major naval powers.

I learned that there are currently Nuclear Plants being built that are designed around passive safety systems AKA they don't need Pumps to maintain reactor cooling.

I also learned that a corollary to NIMBY is BANANA AKA Build Absolutely Nothing Anywhere Near Anything.

Well, I've had a fever of over 100 degrees and spent most of the day sleeping...I'm gonna have to stretch here...

I mean, I watched the first 6-7 episodes of Attack on Titan on Netflix, and learned it's super cool and totally worth watching even if you're not into anime. So there you go.

Also, everyone is nicer to you when you're sick, so if you're sick, consider milking it accordingly.

Learnt the origins of Rock and Roll... and also learnt that mainstream media has a habit of making black culture popular while removing black people from the equation (referring to a recent article I saw a brief snatch on, can't remember the magazine, but I remember the title of the piece "Hip Hop is White Hot!" emphasis on the white...)

I learned that one of my reasonably close friends has depression.

Kind of embarrassed/annoyed at myself that I didn't realise sooner and/or worried that she may not have felt comfortable telling me about it*. Not that she's obliged to do so, of course. Just sad that one of the nice people in my life is unhappy.

*Edit: Then again, maybe she was scared that I'd share it on a public Internet forum. That is a distinct possibility.

I've learned that Netflix is pretty insane with the number of "recently watched" shows they keep on top. (This is for the PS3)

There's these shows I definitely have no intention of ever watching again, but since Netflix won't let me just delete them from my tab I've been trying to do the whole "add on a bunch of new shows to bump out the old crap" idea but it just won't go away. I guess I'll have to resort to the whole create new profile thing but still feels really stupid that I just can't take undesirable shows off the list.

Today I learned that if I don't get on the road to work before 7:00 am, the traffic gets so bad it turns a 30 minute drive into a 90 minute one.

Looks like I'll be staying late today to get my hours in :/

I learned that China has a serious issue with killer hornets that are large enough to cover the palm of our hand. I won't link any photographs for the sake of my own fear of these creatures that I'm sure many others share.

There is a way to access Netflix in Germany, Futurama is on the third run still awesome and Brothers: A Tale Of Two Sons is a brilliant game.

Also I learned that two of my roommates had a thing and one of them is heartbroken while the other one is in the commen room (is that the right word? I can't think right now) with someone else. And I don't want to be bothered, all I could do is infect both of them with whateverthefuckihave
