Ignorance, all over it burns... I take it most of you have never experienced the emotion that is understated as love? Particularly those calling it down. Yes it hurts, but god yes is it the best thing you will ever fell when you are with that person of whom is the object of you affection. If you think you have experienced love and see it as a bad thing, then it wasn't love. It was simply a great liking or maybe lust. Love and lust are NOT interchangeable. Love is when you feel sick when you aren't with that person as I feel now, because she has gone ice skating and I am otherwise indisposed. When such minor things like weather, illness and fatigue would never stop you. Love is very real, a series of chemical reactions in the brain? So is everything, so therefore it is no less real than the world you see around you. Love is not a one night stand, one is not dating, love is so so much more. A thing that cannot be expressed in any amount of words even it's own. Love is an understatement of it's self. Even song & poetry cannot give that emotion. Much less cold words on an internet forum even despite the way I talk about love being called poetic by a few (not that I see it, just the way I think) as such, love is fact. Those who say otherwise are scared of such emotion, scared of the pain, and as a defence try to convince themselves it isn't real. Sorry to say but it is. And hiding away that wont get you anywhere.

Also love is no about pro-creation, that is lust, which in romantic relationships is hand in hand. Any of you who wish to challenge this fact feel free to dispute it for whatever reason.
Bias!
How can you be bias? What? That makes no sence...?

Love is an idea. It is a part of the human psyche, an emotion that we experience. Any attempt to separate love from life is to deprive us of what makes us human. Love is a humanizing trait, something that is so deeply ingrained in humanity that it can't be removed. I agree with what you said at first, love is a reaction to us finding a potential mate, love helps us survive as a species. Yet it is our dominance that has allowed us to take a look back and truly examine the world around us. With that dominance we began to articulate our emotions, we began to discover and contemplate what we feel. Love on a romantic level is a result of that. We live for love, since we were able to find the words to express it we began to actively process it and seek it. Love can be defined, yet love as a defination means as much as statistics to the individual, they are meaningless hollow words. Love at the level of romance needs no defination, it is something that must be experienced to be understood.

Happy? me? Hell no. you think you appreciate such things if you are happy? Nope. In fact right now my relationship is in tatters and I'm on the verge of screaming. But I still love her, hence why I wont end it. I know what she's usually like.

It's statements like that which make me think I might be unnapreciative of my ignorance.

A lie. A conspiracy developed by the chocolate and flower industries to make us believe in a false obligation to buy more and more lovey-dovey trash. Have a nice day.

I find that humans are incapable of love, that it has lost all meaning in the world today. marriage is not love anymore, it's who we can stand being around for 40 years until one of you dies. I believe in God because I feel he is the last thing that could understand when all else fails.

Of course there is more than 1 type of love. Love of a family member. Love of a friend. Love of a partner.
In Hebrew, there are in fact 4 words for love. I forget what they are, but they mean 'friendship' (friend says to friend: "I love you, man!"), 'devotion' (parental, or marital), 'sexual love' (Obvious, I think) and 'love of thing's' ("I love hamburgers/my car/the internet")

It's rather stupid of us to try to force all this meaning into one word, no?

Love is still the best thing, but aye ignorance is indeed bliss. I just find it insulting when someone says love and don't mean it. Even if they think they do. All I know is that all good things have a cost, and truly nothing is free. the best things cost the most. And yes I mean love.

love is a girl that calls you 8 times a day, can beat you at smash bros. brawl, loves to raid with you in WoW, wants to buy you cool clothes, throws more sex at you than you know what to do with, will ride X2 and Tatsu multiple times, has a skinny body with just the right amount of bust, and massages you whenever you want. That is my gf and the only problem i have is that she always compares her 102 lb. body to her younger 90 lb. sisters body.
I hate you.. I really really do
I second that motion.

Ahh, I'm glad someone saw that opening.

As long as nobody's quoted him already, I'll use Bender:

"Bender knows love, and love doesn't share itself with the world. Love is suspicious, love is needy. Love is fearful, love is greedy. My friends, there is no great love without great jealousy!"

I'd say that Baby Don't Hurt Me line, but I'm pretty sure 10-30 other people have already beaten me to it.

EDIT: Around 20 people. Wow.

Anyway, love is like a drug. It changes your behaviour, it can have weird side effects, it can become addictive, and you can take it without even knowing it.
