i personally tend not to listen to the new stuff anymore. probably the only artists i listen to that are new-ish are modest mouse and dave matthews band.
It's well worth it to seek out newer music from more independent sources. There's a lot of good stuff out there from bands who weren't designed by some idiot record company flunky trying to separate the gullible masses from their ever-dwindling savings.

yeah, well when someone i know tells me about it i take interest, but i tend not to listen to the radio much. Probably the most recent, new artist i've listened to is Al Vans. I wouldn't have listened to him if he were not my brother's friend's brother, but he's actually fairly good.
"But you ain't gotta be a dude, shit I'll dick-punch a chick
Cuz I don't discriminate when I punch em in the dick!
Whether Suzy Homemaker or a floozy home-wrecker
I'ma deck 'er in the pecker motherfecker!"
Are you kidding me!? These are PURE GENIUS compared to the garbage they release today. Hip Hop used to be about havin' fun. There used to actually be some musical depth to it along with the lyrics. Now it's all single uninspired techno drum beat with no harmonies or breakdowns and nonsensical lyrics about how much money they have and all the women they degrade and dehumanize.
Not all rap is bad. some of it is the best stuff I have ever heard. The stupidst ones are about hoes money drugs ect. but the political ones and personal problems are the best. like Rehab's bottles and cans and it don't matter.
true, but those are very very very very very very very rare to find, thanks to new mainstream rap burying any other piece of rap that had some potential.
I think it's a little biased to suggest that the mainstream is burying rap exclusively or even especially. 95% of the rock, folk, country, etc. on mainstream radio/television is equally shit.
haha right, i forgot about that stuff i personally tend not to listen to the new stuff anymore. probably the only artists i listen to that are new-ish are modest mouse and dave matthews band.
Yeah. I can't stand these new mainstream rock groups (exception for Linkin park..Idk what it is about them but I am hooked) Thats why I love classic piano or classic rap. be for all this stuff was big, it was good.
Dee Dee from the Ramones tried his hand at rap for a while in the 80s. The results weren't great:
Then there was Devastatin' Dave...
How come no-one has posted this legendary video yet?
...and let's not forget the sequel (watch for the wooden spoon attack, a tried-and-true way of repelling special anti-piracy forces):
Someone obviously saw Mr. T in The A-Team and thought "he looks like a rapper, that's all you need to be able to rap, right?" Wrong. Proof that rap takes talent cos Mr. T sure ain't got any.
where do you get these such diverse forms of... crap? haha woww those videos are such failures. i got a new one...
worst lyrics in this song..: "Me who? please boo, landin' in that G2
Same color as beef stew, favorite letters: GQ
That's me, true. peach blue, hebrew"

hah yah. i will VERY RARELY enjoy a new mainstream song, but when i do i get over them fairly fast. anyways, we've grown off topic. another rap song, which i dont even know what they are saying, is
for this one, go to 2:00 until 2:15. i dont know if its bad, its just kinda funny
