It's wisdom for me too. Will saves, shmill saves. I just cross my fingers and hope the evil wizard attacks someone else.

Its fun to dump stat INT. "I are Larz. I come to fight and ****!" (Always change up the last word but a few of my fav.s were: Fart, Party, F*ck, Der... fight some more, Play dress up.) Or having the charmer be the bubbly dumb one.

But, all my "good adventuring" type characters use CHA as a dump stat... Though, i'd still try (and fail) to talk my way out of some things.

Usually constitution. Hit em' hard and fast, get home in time for tea. Can't do battles of attrition, 'tis not the Glass Cannon way.

Charisma.

The majority of RPG's don't make the talky-talky fun or engaging or indeed practical enough to warrant me putting points into it.

well IRL it would have to be agility, but in most games it would have charisma, my characters usually dont talk much, they just hit things.

In dnd my dump stat depends on the character I play. I wouldn't use wisdom as the dump stat for a cleric, or Charisma for a bard, or Strength for a fighter. In real life, my lowest stat is charisma, but it's still over 10.

Charisma is a total waste for me. I don't want to talk to people; they can talk to my axe.

Wisdom means a better Will save against those pesky fear effects and such.
Strength, Dex, and Con are all necessary to make me a good Barb.
And Int means I have enough points to jump over a spiked pit without being impaled on it...

The only western RPGs I play are the Fallout series (which isn't true but I don't care so whatevs') and my main dump stat is Luck. Second is charisma and third is strength.

On the opposite, Intelligence and Agility are my main stats.
Bad idea.
Luck is awesome in Fallout.
1 point in Luck = 1% critical hit.
That may not seem like much at first glance, but that shit stacks.
Let's say you have 8 luck, the 1st recon hat for 5% crit, Ulysses armour for an additional 5%, the finesse perk for 5% more, light touch for 5% more, and laser commander for 10% more.
And you're using the pew-pew that mutiplies your crit chance by 2.5.
That's a 95% chance to crit, of which the 8 luck is 20%.
Not only that, but luck also plays a part in your chance of getting critically hit, and certain chance based stuff such as gambling.

Luck. I never EVER put a point in luck , i don't like randomness, i prefer to be a tank ( all str ) or a glass cannon ( all int ) than rely on something that isn't a sure thing ( luck ).

Fellowship, why do I care how much people trust me if I can just beat them to death with a giant sword anyway?

It depends on what game I play, and/or what character I make.

For example, on diablo 2, every single character I make has energy as a dump stat. Useless stat in that game.

On a typical RPG with D&D like stats it would be strength. I don't really like playing "bash in the face" characters on those kind of games.

I playa Barbarian in D&D you better believe intelligence is a dump stat, the other party members can be clever and stuff.

constitution for sure, i'm usually very careful so i don't need to waste skills on health

also dexterity SOMETIMES, depends entirely on what game/character i am using

usually do a rogue/warrior mix, strong on being persuasive and dual wielding, so wisdom/strength are usually my two powerhouse skills.

Morrowind - It's a tie between the block skill and the enchant skill
Oblivion - Mysticism
Fallout 3 - Unarmed
Fallout New Vegas - Survival (come on, with a level 10 endurance, you're practically bulletproof)
DnD - Strength. All my mods are wis or cha based. Also streetwise is a fairly useless skill.

I often play the fighter/tank of the group, so intelligence (unfortunately) is my usual dump stat.

Makes for some fun role-playing, though.

And this time, I am the rogue.
