Mmmm.... I'd say Resident Evil series, but it was a choice between that and Dark Cloud. They're both brilliant in my book

Does having one main game for the PS2 and one side game for the PSP count? No? Sorry Steambot Chronicles. You may be my most favorite game, EVER, but you're not my favorite series.

My favorite game series is definitely Disgaea. I particularly love the first one, Disgaea: Hour of Darkness, and Disgaea 4: A Promise Unforgotten. Disgaea is a tactical RPG, and my favorite part is mostly the character creation and level cap. You can go through the entire game using no main characters if you want to (Though this makes it much harder.). You can beat them around, level 70-100, but you can go up to level 9999. And trust me, you'll need these levels for the bonus content. The humor is pretty good, and the classes are awesome.

Mega Man, Silent Hill (other than 1, 3, 4, Origins, Homecoming, Shattered Memories, and the movie... okay, just Silent Hill 2, but that's a flawless gem), Mass Effect, Shin Megami Tensei (other than Digital Devil Saga) and Metal Gear Solid (other than MGS4 and the ending of MGS2)

Even the least qualitive entries are very solid games.
Plus, I like my space adventure stories on the silly side. You hear me, Bioware!
Thank you for agreeing with me on Ratchet and Clank. I'm not sure if people have forgotten about them, or simply doesn't enjoy them as much, but i'm glad to have a like-minded fellow.

you know I was dubious as I never liked the Tomb Raider series, but got Uncharted 2 free when I bought my PS3 and have been loving the series since.

It's a dungeon crawler game where you have to rebuild towns and progress through the world to defeat the dark genie. It's quite good as you have six characters to choose from and they all have different fighting techniques and weapons. You basically have this item called the atomellia (i think that's how it's spelled) and you find objects within the dungeons that are used to rebuild houses and other structures before fighting a huge boss at the end to progress.

It was a good game in 2001 but i've been unable to find any copies in my local stores anymore :<

That's the best i can describe it as i haven't played it in five years.

Halo, i grew up with it after my brother introduced it to me when i was about 8 years old, since then i have loved the franchise, and just playing through the first game again in Anniversary just brings back so many happy memories.

It was exclusive to the PS2, so if your lucky one of the game retail shops may still hold a copy if they sell PS2 games still, but the internet is probably your best bet.
