either: courage! and shuffle the cards. because what better advice can there be than to always by brave and adventurous, and never trust someone elses deck :p

Or: lick up the honey stranger and don't ask questions. because when things are going well never question it, just enjoy it :D

"That'll do"

"Quod gratis asseritur gratis negatur" - What is asserted without reason may be denied without reason.

and one I made up myself:
"The greatest of principles is refusing to stick to them when it suits you"

"There is a world of difference between stupidity and ignorance."

I've never actually heard anyone say it, but I'm sure someone has.

"I am the wisest man alive, for I know one thing, and that is that I know nothing." - Socrates. I live by this motto, but in a slightly differentiated format. Nothing definite can ever be stated, and there exists no universal truth. Those who state facts which are opinions in a guise, or those who feign knowledge and intelligence, are more ignorant than the ignorant themselves.

There is a day I will no longer draw breath and walk upon this earth. Whether it be tomorrow or 50 years from now no man can say. Any time, energy, or effort I spend worrying about or trying to avoid that day is time, energy, and effort I can put into enjoying the time I have.

The only way to live is if on your dying day, no matter when that day comes, you can honestly say with your last breath "I lived a good life."

I have two mottos. One is: It never hurts to ask.
It's pretty self explanatory but it has gotten me alot of things and friends.

Two is: Paint the Line.
From Penny Arcade you just play your hardest no matter what's happening. Make it so the other team can't even fight back.

Don't judge people unless you have to.

Get on people's good side, it pays off.

Knowing when to lie, when to laugh, when to obey, when to question, when to retreat and when to take a stand is an art that is very useful. TL:DR Be socially compatible! It helps.

I'm a big fan of the Max Payne quote: There are only personal apocalypses. Nothing's a cliche when it's happening to you.
I've found that to be INCREDIBLY true. It's easy to roll your eyes at someone else's problem, but when the very same thing happens to you, it's suddenly VERY serious.
