Sonic 2. The level designs suck ass, the soundtrack is god awful.

Half-Life. Why doesn't Gorden Freeman talk? Valve are so lazy not finding a voice actor worthy of being the protagonist. Also headcrabs are uninventive and gay. The gameplay is bland and repetitive. Also those puzzles are boring.

Speaking of Valve, what is with Portal? You only get one gun and it doesn't work properly.

Oh also System Shock 2 sucks balls. Why does everyone seem to like that game? Bioshock 2 is waaaay better!
10/10 would rage again, your either a troll or so very stupid.

I don't hate KotOR or the Sands of Time trilogy, I just experienced newer, similar gameplay and can't go back to what I see as their clunky and unrefined gameplay. I played Fallout 3, KotOR combat is just VATS mixed with turn based combat and has some really rough edges. I played Mirrors Edge, which was much more fluid than the stodgy mess I found while trying to play PoP.

I can't manage to play that much of Mass Effect, but I really want to. Every time I play, I end up just getting bored... but I keep trying because I've heard Mass Effect 2 is a lot better.
If you would consider it, read up on the Mass Effect wiki about 1's plot then buy and play 2. Three weeks ago I finally gave in and bought the first Mass Effect (was wary after my expereince with KotOR). I finished ME2 this morning, and man what a fun three weeks it has been. ME2 takes on board the criticisms of ME1, chops away the excess weight, adds some awesome new ideas and improves the overall experience significantly. Mass Effect 2 has definitely jumped right into my top 3 games, and ME1 has respectably finished somewhere in the top 10.

The thing is, I like the idea of the sequel using your actions from the first game and porting them into the sequel... it's kind of why I haven't bought the first game yet.

halo, the story is convoluted at best and the multilayer is full of fags, not a great series to be honest.

Metal Gear solid : Guns of the patriots.

It's not a game, It's a running cut scene with minuscule points of interaction with the player.. actually most of the time i get the creeping feeling that the game would rather play with itself and that I'm interrupting something just by being there.

And the story(if you can keep awake) is borderline retarded.

Almost all turn-based rpg's.
Yeah, pretty much. And I'm the guy who spent 60 bucks for Persona 3 and 4. Then again, they're the remnants of a dying breed.

On topic, Final Fantasy IX and everyone of them after X. Specifically, 12 and 13.

IX was just not my style, and 12 and 13. Oh God. Don't even get me started.

Anything with Half-life, GTA, CoD or Elder Scrolls in the title.

Whilst they aren't actually terrible games they bloody well aren't good ones, and the fact that people go on about them like every time you play one its a bit like shagging *insert sexual interest here* AND satisfying her.

Actually I'll take back a bit about GTA, they were fun when they were top down and 2D.

I suppose that also on my list but not so high up would be Sonic, Mario, GRAW, Hellgate London and Dragon Age. The last two suckered me in with cinematic trailers that made love to my eyes, and then failed to deliver even remotely on game play.

Oh and someone already mentioned the Fable sequels, they tarnish the memory of the first game, which was excellent. It seems with each follow up game they start by writing down a list of all the cool and awesome stuff, all the involving things, then remove about half of them and replace it with something shit.

I don't like any of the final fantasy games. I don't like JRPG's in general but there are a few I do like.

Halo and I have an agreement. It makes millions of dollars incredibly easily, and I sit in my room loathing it.

This is not Halo's fault, I suppose. The game is...sub-par, to me, in a variety of ways, but it's by no means the worst thing I've ever gotten my hands on. It's the huge emphasis on multiplayer (which I DO despise) and the community that's sprung up around it. These things have made me consider declaring war on it, were it not for the fact that a war game would probably kick my ass faster than any other anthropomorphic representation of a genre.

Half Life, Portal, Left 4 Dead, Team Fortress and CoD all came to mind. I find them all the be bland, repetitive and poorly designed games that simply inspire me to remove the game from the disc tray and never touch it again.

If I have to pick 1 out of that lot as the biggest and most offensive annoyance, I'd have to go with Left 4 Dead, a couple of insanely short levels that have basically no replay value even with their fabled "AI Director" just doesn't cut it for me as a major release title. I'd expect something like that to be available on Xbox Live for about 800 points at most.

Any JRPG. I really can't stand them. I have tried several (including a few Final Fantasy, etc.) but I still haven't found a single one I liked.
