Bingo! It took 41 posts to get the correct answer. No, I'm not dissing Goldeneye because I agree that it was awesome, but I played both briefly last year, and Perfect Dark was leagues ahead of Goldeneye in both single player and multiplayer. It had WAY better frame rates, and allowed the addition of bots. So if Goldeneye is truly the first FPS to do it "right" then Perfect Dark instantly perfected it.
Hell, even before there were Halo fanboys to piss me off to the series, I was saying to my friends that "Halo looked just like Perfect Dark." To which they replied "No, Halo has better graphics, better guns, more multiplayer depth... Oh wait, this is sounding just like Perfect Dark."
