I think the first console that I ever played was the Sega with the original Sonic game. At least I think it was the first one.

My parents wouldn't buy me a gaming system, so when I got my first job at 15, I saved up and bought a Super Nintendo pack with Super Mario World, and Super Castlevania IV.

My old man would occasionally bring his work computer home, which was an Apple IIe. The first game I ever bought was Ultima III for the Apple IIe.

Edit: Oh my god, 1000th post! Uh, I'd like to thank my friends and family for making this all possible, and uhh, the Escapist, and, oh this is all so sudden, I'm lost for words, this is just so.. Thank you! *shakes trophy*

Nintendo 64 with Super Mario 64 and Banjo Kazooie.
My life had started, i can't remember higher buzz from my childhood.

I was a lighter version of the N64 kid.

My first console was a SNES. My first game was Super Mario World. It took me a good 3 months to beat it. I was 5 at the time. I remember the morning I beat bowser. It was about 7:30 on a sunday and i was the only one up. I also had a loose tooth and when I beat Bowser, I was soo excited i knocked it loose and swallowed it when I ran into my parents bedroom to wake them up to come see the end game. They were not impressed...

Never owned a console, unless you count a gameboy.

In that case my first game was super mario land 2 I believe.

I was, 4 ish. It was an Atari 2600. The first GAME, i can't remember. Had a few, but i tend to remember a Boxing game, Combat, and Qbert the most. One of them were prolly my first.

I've owned or played nearly ever gaming system since. With the exception of the Neo Geo (WAY to expensive at the time.) And the turbographics 16's CD attachment. I had a turbographic base system though. It was accually a decent little system, with Bonk and a few other fun games.

Which means, at 32, nearly 33.. I've been an avid gamer for almost 30 years... man... Where does the time go? LOL

And on a side note, it kills me to see so many of you younger ones starting with the N64... LOL, STOP MAKING ME FEEL OLD... :)
