18. NES. The way it was meant to start.
Anybody who has never played some of those classics should seriously go and do so.

2nd game system: Gamecube - yeah, that was a freaking awesome jump in graphics tech for me.

how was your first system a snes if you are only 14? you were born in what, 1997? I'm 21, and older than you, and my first was a ps1...
Totally possible, you're older than me but my first was NES.
My parents bought it and enjoyed it.
Then I was born and they shared it with me when I grew old enough to play it.

I'm 26 and my first gaming system was the NES (the original Nintendo for all you young'uns out there), back in the days of wired controllers, cartridge based games, no save files or rumble/vibration features.
WRONG Zelda had a save.....a save that broke on occasion and would delete itself but a save some days lol.
That was most likely to happen if you didn't turn off the game the right way. The safest way was to go to the title screen and quit the game from there. Otherwise you risked corrupting the save file.

I'm 16 and my first game system was the Playstation 1, unfortunately I had no idea how to use it :p I only really got the hang of gaming on the Playstation 2.

I'm 20, and my first gaming system was the good ol' NES. :p Used to play it with my mom. (Dad tried once, he ended up ragequitting because of the Dark World in Super Mario Bros 3.)

We also got a Sega Mega Drive (...Genisis in the States I think?) a bit later (somewhere between the last middle half of me being 4 years old, and the first half of me being 5 years old). Me and Dad used to play Outrun quite a bit.

I was the weird kid on the block with a Sega Saturn. It was that odd little console between the genesis and the dreamcast. It was good fun but nobody i ever knew had one so people rarely knew about it. And soon as the dreamcast came out everyone was crazy over that.

Edit: forgot to say I'm 21 years old

Depends if you count those Tiger handhelds. The original gameboy was my first. Parents wouldn't allow TV, so no consoles until I hit late highschool.

23, the Super Nintendo, one of the best consoles ever!
My favourite consoles I had in order of greatness (most fun I had with that console)

1. PS3
2. PS2
3. SUPER NINTENDO
4. N64
5. Gamecube
6. Xbox 360
7. Wii
8. PS1

I have never owned a Sega system or the orig Xbox, everything else put a tick next to.
