Ahhh. Thanks for the infoJohnny Novgorod said:On the PS3, it's the trophy you get after unlocking every other bronze/silver/gold trophy (although sometimes DLC related trophies don't count towards it), which at least for me is a rarity. Basically it's a 100% completion badge. It's just there for bragging rights.DSK- said:I'd hate to ask this, but, what is a platinum trophy?
I've played Okami to 100% on the PS2 but I would so do it all over again on the PS3! Wish I had it.Thebazilly said:Assassin's Creed 2. Wasn't too difficult.
My only other Platinum is for Okami HD. Goddamn fishing minigame was the worst, since it's pretty much random which fish you get, and you need to catch one of each kind for a trophy. Probably spent 5 hours on that alone. I'd gotten all the stray beads before on the PS2 version, so that wasn't so bad.
I imagine the latter, Uncharted and inFAMOUS were what among the first five system sellers (for the public) for the PS3?Johnny Novgorod said:Sooo I'm getting with most people it's always either Uncharted or inFAMOUS. Is it because those are remarkably easy to get or they've just been around the longest?
Another vote for Uncharted: Drakes Fortune, as I bought it the same time as I bought my first PS3Evonisia said:I imagine the latter, Uncharted and inFAMOUS were what among the first five system sellers (for the public) for the PS3?
I'd forgotten that feathers get classfied by city/region, that should speed things up if I decide to Catch 'em All. Thanks!Diablo2000 said:Oh, there's that too. Nevermind Venice, That's the fucking biggest pain in the whole process. Well, there's no way around it, thought you might wanna check the DNA to see how many feathers there are left and where, sometimes you already complete full distrits in the big cities and this will help you narrow the search. In the smaller cities most of them are inside the city so start there for them and the outside save for later.Johnny Novgorod said:I got around 50-60 feathers already. My main annoyance is that even if I were to use a guide at this point, I would need to check every single noted location since there's no way I remember which feathers I got and which I didn't.Diablo2000 said:If still matter I find the IGN map guide to be pretty useful when I did it about 5 days ago. Venice was still a pretty pain in the ass, so I separated everything by district, once I got all the feathers of that district I moved on the next one, get them all was about 2 4-5 hours sessions. And I have to tell you, it was not fucking worth it, not even for the archievement, I only did for the promise that I might get something good at the end (A nice scene and a useless cape were not enough for all the trouble) and mostly OCD's sake.Johnny Novgorod said:Good old fashioned thread about your first gaming whatever - Platinum Trophy in this case.
I just got my first in God of War: Chains of Olympus, which is bundled for the PS3 in the God of War: Saga Collection.
Didn't even take more than 3 or 4 sessions, it's a pretty short game and if you're playing on Hard everything should unlock naturally, bar that pesky Challenge of the Gods, which I just did.
The runner up would be Assassin's Creed II. I got everything except the Trophy for collecting all feathers (and subsequently wearing the cape), which would've unlocked Platinum. But tracking those down is a pain in the ass and so far there's no good guide online.
What was your first Platinum?
Also I did on the 360 and my PC to check the guide was in my room, so I just kept walking to my room to the living room back and forth which to be fair, was probably a decent enough exercise. So if your game is on PC or have you have a tablet for check it out or something then it will cut some time down.
Whoa! When did that update happen, if you don't mind me asking?Johnny Impact said:Burnout: Paradise. I did it before the big update screwed everyone, so according to PSN, I don't have any trophies in that game at all. Screw them.
Not sure exactly. I platinumed the game a few months after it came out. Either it had no trophy support at the time or trophies weren't a thing yet. I'm thinking it was the latter. Anyway, Criterion promised everyone would get credit for achievements earned pre-trophy and be awarded all the corresponding trophies. Then trophy support entered the game and none of us got any. Yeah, not doing all that shit again, Criterion, thanks for lying!FPLOON said:Sonic Generations
My second game bought for the PS3 ended up getting me my first Platinum Trophy... It was okay, overall, give or take a few BS challenges that I'm so happy to never have to play [seriously] ever again...Whoa! I don't think there's a trophy for that. You mean the warden's secret office?thesilentman said:Man that was a huge pain. Riddler trophies plus challenges were not for me. Especially that hidden one which showed Arkham City.
