Here's a couple:
-All console zelda endings (TP, OOT, WW)
-Other parts in Zelda Twilight Princess, especially the cutscene right before the final dungeon, where midna (spoiler?) puts on her helmet thingy and destroys the barrier to hyrule castle. Also, practically every boss battle was amazing, especially the spinner battle against that skull guy, the water boss battle, and the dragon battle. And so many others. That game was awesome.
-The Call of Duty 4 stealth mission where Price and his ally try to make it to a sniper spot, and on the way they go through an entire brigade of enemy troops by sneaking directly UNDER their vehicles! That was insane! The campaign of MW1 was much more consistently awesome than its sequel because of things like that, IMO. Though there were some awesome parts there too, particularly the ending.

Edit: Oh, and that time when I beat HLep3 after I time traveled to its release date in 2020? Most epic thing ever!

I'm afraid I'll just have to miss out. I refuse to subject my ears to that shit willingly. Plenty of greater games don't have awful soundtracks.
Well, that's all down to taste. It's certainly not shit to a lot of people.

I thought the soundtrack was pretty rocking, but I like heavy rock in general.
Well, music taste IS subjective, but I'm super pretentious about the music I listen to. I love rock, metal, anything really...I just can't stand bland radio rock like that.

. Neither here nor there really, though.

Yeah I was like "OH SHIT 28 DAYS LATER!" when I watched Kickass. Its presence in Kickass made me think that maybe it got into a video game too. That's a shame cause it worked really well with the sequence.
Agreed, it seemed to fit in really naturally.

I can imagine how awesome it would sound over the Gears 2 final battle or the Helicoper Scene from MW2... it's just one of those pieces of music that works with anything remotely climactic.

To be honest, the only radio rock track is the main one, it's mostly instrumental riffs and stuff.

There are a couple of real little gems on the soundtrack:

but nothing beats Inon Zur's Two thrones theme:

I kinda wish his Fallout 3 music had been that good.

The sequence in Silent Hill 2 where you're being chased by Pyramid head down a corridor. That sure got my heart pumping.

I'll have to agree with the ME2 suicide mission. The whole thing was already far more epic than should be allowed, but the knowledge that squad members/yourself might die, based on your own decisions rather than just how the developers wrote the script, added so much to it.

Besides many moments form ME2 ...well I'd say the Follow Freeman mission from HL2 where u are in the streets and the striders start bursting all over (right after u head out of the underground car park when the music gets very fast paced) and HL 2 Episode 2 final fight, seriously play it on hard, that is trully intense.

It'd go to Ravenholm.
I played it on hard the first time and ran out of shotgun ammo on the ending rooftop sequence.
I mean it's a joke now..
Skip to 3:35 or so and you'll see why
But it was insane at the time.
Oh and the elevator sequence in episode 1, first time through on hard

MGS4

The part near the end when Snake has to crawl through hallway to reach the AI, and the fight afterwards
This. (Spoilers) Especially at the first time, when thinking that Snake would die if you wouldnt mash the button too hard.

Any an every level from the MW2 single-player campaign up to Makarov's house counts, I think. You've got a frantic chase through the streets of a South American favela, a hazardous climb up an impossibly steep mountain, a civilian massacre at the Moscow international...
This.

When you had to jump in Favela to the helicopter and you missed it, i was like "shitshitshitshit", my heart was going a mile a minute.

Call of Chtulhu's Escape from the Hotel was intense, but very frustrating...
This. A million times, this. My heart has never beat so fast in all my life, I thought I was going to die, in real life!

The Warthog race in Halo:CE was EPIC, still makes my pulse pound. Halo 3's rendition just wasn't the same without the strict time limit. :(

Bioshock - First encounter with a Big Daddy was also pretty intense.

Silent Hill 2 - That damned labyrynth beneath the Historical Society. Getting completely lost with the chance of running into Pyramid Head, argh!

Aliens Vs Predator - Like the ONE battle with a predator as either Alien or Marine, little bastards are sneaky fast!

That stupid farmhouse, the last level in Condemned. Man that freaked me out!

It's been said already but the last part of MGS4 with the microwave corridor... damn I think I broke the controller, or my thumb, hammering so hard!

Pretty much anything that ever happened in Split/Second
