Quite a few moments.

Drakengard one - fighting against the monster that Inuart turns Furiae into. That game started to get SERIOUSLY messed up, and you really felt that you were fighting against something terrifying.

Drakengard 2 (what, I like them) - When you fight against Caim from the first game. He'd been through a lot of shit, and he was powerful enough when you played as him - he was fucking terrifying by this point.

Final Fantasy 8 - I remember this being the first time a game truely scared me. When you're in the ship, and Rinoa gets possessed by Ultimecia. I had no idea what was going on, the music scared me big time, and she was walking like a zombie. I was pretty young, so I was obviously pretty scared.

Splinter Cell: Conviction - (spoilers) When you're finding out what really happened to your daughter in the cutscene, DJ Shadow's Building Steam With a Grain of Salt starts playing, which made that moment fantastic. You really feel Sam's anger, and get infinite execute marks to hammer home the point - Sam is a badass, and he's pissed. I have a thing for rage moments in games.

Annnnnd a lot of Blizzard moments. Raid bosses in WoW (nothing is more intense than the last few moments of a fight you've been mastering for a week, the last mission of SC2, and almost every game online gets my heart thumping.

The path leading to the final colossus in Shadow of the Colossus was really intense. Seriously, fireballs everywhere. The scene where you have to fight multiple metal gears in Metal Gear Solid 2 was also intense.

zone of the Enders 2, taking down the entire battleship armada by flying behind then and charging up the vector cannon, was adrenaline fueled and I loved every moment, made even better by the music being a re-arrangement of the main theme <3

Any of the times I got chased by that damn Dahaka in Prince of Persia: Warrior Within. Once the color washes out of the screen, you know shit's about to get intense.
Can't go wrong with anything that involves Godsmack blaring from my speakers
That's actually the chief reason I'll never play that game.
You're missing out, it's a great game and has possibly the best platforming and puzzles in the SOT Trilogy.

It's certainly my favorite of the three anyway.

The helicopterpart in Modern Warfare 2, the one were you fly over Washington D.C. and just spray exploding bullets with a minigun. Intensity with 500 cc's of heroin.
That whole level was just one big mountain of awesomeness. I was shaking with adrenalin my first time playing it.

The most epic video game sequence for me wasn't on a console. It was on a flash rpg(GASP!! blasphemy...). What happened was I was playing some blatant rip off of the already ripped off Star Trek Universe and about 200 tiny ships were flying straight at me. I didn't care much, I had the best ship and the best weapons. It turns out they were dragging a painfully slow almost exact replica of a Deathstar from Star Wars. Panicking because of the sheer size, I took off in a hurry and accidentally wasted my entire supply of antimatter jumping around the universe for no reason. Meaning I had to pilot a painfully slow ship against a painfully slow enemy in a painfully slow chase scene that threatened to destroy 4 months of work, as there was no quick reload and death means you lose everything...
I'd like to know that game, if you can remember it. And that last bit made me think of this.

Anyways, I have to say, the most intense moment on any game for me happened when I was playing Starcraft 2.
I was on the mission with the Infested at the refugee camp, maintaining the top 2 defense points, when the Infested broke through the barricade at the bottom. Took half my Hellion fleet and most of my marines (I wasn't about to move my firebats), but I managed to stem the tide.

I'm afraid I'll just have to miss out. I refuse to subject my ears to that shit willingly. Plenty of greater games don't have awful soundtracks.

Every moment of Demon's Souls. My first playthrough of Demon's Souls remains the most intense and terrifying experience I've had gaming. It is also one of my most cherished gaming experiences. I love that game. Its a masterpiece.

So. Fucking. Intense.
I approve of "In the house" from 28 Days Later. My favorite song from a film.

Was that added to the video or is that really in game?

Well, that's all down to taste. It's certainly not shit to a lot of people.

I thought the soundtrack was pretty rocking, but I like heavy rock in general.

No, it's not in the game unfortunately... it is an amazing piece of music alright. Adds great intensity to any scene it is in... I loved it in 28 Weeks Later and Kick Ass:

Yeah I was like "OH SHIT 28 DAYS LATER!" when I watched Kickass. Its presence in Kickass made me think that maybe it got into a video game too. That's a shame cause it worked really well with the sequence.
