Running away from a mutant Rancor whilst fighting Sith Cultists in Jedi Academy was an adrenaline rush, considering the thing was massive, moved fast and could eat you whole.

A number of people have listed various set pieces from COD4 but for me, it was a the 'standard' combat within the US marine levels I found particularly intense, on the harder levels you find yourself pushing up to the next piece of cover, then waiting for the AI marines to follow and take some of the pressure off.Slayer_2 said:The ending of CoD4.
