What was your very first RPG?

For me, it was Final Fantasy VIII at the tender age of 7. Since then, I've compared every other RPG I play to it.

First console RPG that I remember was .hack//Infection.

First RPG I ever played was Pokémon Red, I think. I remember being quite jealous that my friend had Blue. I don't know why. It just seemed much cooler.
That was the first handheld one. A few years later, I moved onto console RPGs, the first of which being Final Fantasy VIII, quickly followed by IX, which happened to be the only Final Fantasy I owned until XII.

Damn right. That and FF1 and Ultima (can't remember which one) were some of my first RPG's. Pfft...all these scrubs and their Pokemon.
